Winchester Repeating Arms SXP Extreme Defender FDE 12 Gauge Shotgun 18" Barrel 3" Chamber 5 Rounds

Purchased about a month ago. Was a little surprised that I had to Install the barrel, b I got through it. This thing shoots and looks great. Happy with my purchase.

I ordered it online and received notice when I was to go pick up at the closest store. Things went pretty smooth, all things considered for the process, at the store. Staff was great, they explained the item, suggested how I proceed and I was able to leave the store with knowLedge.

I love this shotgun, it’s ridiculously fast to shoot, it’s accurate, packs a punch and looks like it means business. The only problem I had so far is that everyone wants to shoot it at the range. Cabela’s staff was great and worked with me, when it came to finding this specific shotgun for me. No complaints great service great gun.

This is a very nice (yet budget-friendly) defense-minded shotgun that comes well-equipped right out of the box. The gun features an 18" barrel, an optional heat shield (installed or removed in a couple of minutes depending on your taste/preference), rear ring sights and pistol grip style. There are also options to adjust the length of pull and comb height for a custom, perfect fit that should work for almost all shooters. From here, you can either stand pat or add on additional accessories (shell holders, flashlights, slings, etc.) available from a variety of retailers. The molded grip feels great and the gun is fairly light weight, too, probably due to the alloy receiver, synthetic stock and shorter barrel. This makes the gun easy to handle and maneuver in tight quarters (hallways, bedrooms, etc.) while still packing all the punch of a 12 gauge payload. While probably not what you would go with for some hunting applications, it should cover any and all needs for a general purpose, home-defense gun.

Ordered this online, when it arrived it was missing the included “invector plus cyl choke”. Factory box had been opened and labelled “safety checked”. When I called Cabela’s customer service, was told all firearms sales are final (just wanted the missing choke, not a refund) and was differed to the manufacturer. You dropped the ball Cabela’s. Think twice before you order anything online from Cabela’s, if there’s something missing, you’re on your own. I’d definitely recommend this shotgun, love everything about it, but I’d also highly recommend you purchase it somewhere else if you’re purchasing it online.

Easy to feed the shells in. Very smooth pump rotating bolt design. Love the heat shield.5+1 Easy to assemble all in all a very good looking shotgun.

My very first firearm purchase! This shotgun is absolutely stellar. Obviously, very good to look at. The inertia assisted pump takes some getting used to. You fire a round and without noticing, you’ve already pulled back on the pump and it’s waiting for you to push it forward. Few complaints. The stock is longer then I’d like. I’m 5’10” and I’ve fired a few shotguns before but this stock just seems to be a few inches too long, making it awkward to handle. The pump release is also awkward to access. It’s on the left side of the trigger, I have to rotate my hand around the base to access it. The safety is also a touch too far forward and doesn’t flick back and forth flawless, requires a bit of effort to ensure it’s in place. Overall, a ton of fun and love shooting it.

I was picking up some shotguns and saw this one and had to get it for my Grandma who was the one who introduced me to the defender decades ago.

I bought this shotgun today and am looking forward to putting some shells through it. The shotgun was easy to assemble and I was pleased to see the fine coating of oil on everything. I am have troubles finding accessories for this particular shotgun. What time of sling is recommended? Is there a side saddle for THIS shotgun?

Excellent shotgun comes with everything you could possible want. The reason I took off one star is because I had to adjust the ejector because it was failing to feed.

This gun handles easily and shoots well! The assembly was uncomplicated and the instructions were thorough. I would recommend this shotgun to others.

This shotgun is overall pretty good, the paint/finish is absolutely horrendous and is cheap as it scratches and fades quite easily!

I'm loving my SXP Extreme Defender shotgun so far. It's an excellent value for a home defense shotgun and looks amazing. I added a light and red-dot sight and can't be happier.

I was originally after a Tem 870 tactical but seen the SXP Extreme with all its extras and was impressed, previously owned the SXP Defender and loved the action, very good buy for the money.

This shot gun have a lot of punch. I shot it only once and it was jamming up. I'm going to clean it up some more and oil it, hopefully that will do the trick.

I love this shotgun , smooth function , quality assembly , everything is tight. The finish is perfect. Glad I made this purchase from GrabAGun . Shipping was fast and arrived at my FFL in perfect condition . This was hard to find, still smiling after 20 days. The reviews online are very favorable for this model, another confirmation here of a well built tactical pump shotgun. 10/10 here.

This shotgun is an absolute beauty, I have personally yet to take it to a range but from watching videos I can already tell it gets the job done. I hold it everyday and am impressed with the added features including the heat shield and Picatinny rail attachment on the barrel. My only concerns are that it seems to not be the most scratch resistant and wish the Picatinny rail for sights was a tad bit longer. Otherwise very nice loads easy and feels good in hands.
