1 year agoI absolutely love my new Tikka T3X UPR. It's absolutely awesome. Silky-smooth, dead sexy, very precise and accurate. Really could not ask for more and I don't believe you could find a better out-of-the-box "sniper rifle" solution anywhere close to the price. I will say- I have a bone to pick, but I know it had nothing to do with EuroOptic. After I got my new rifle home from the FFL, I noticed a gouge in barrel's finish. It's not huge, but it's deep enough to go to the metal. It's not the end of the world, but you drop $1500 on an amazing Finnish rifle, you expect pristine quality. It wasn't the FFL- it's an old man and his wife, and I doubt it was EuroOptic, out of everything they sell, they just randomly mess up mine and sell it anyway? So I believe it had to have been from the factory. Unfortunately, Tikka has a policy on their website that "The Manufacturer does not warrant the wood (stock and forend), grips or metal finish with respect to finish, matching of pieces, dents, scratches, cut, dings, etc. which are or should be apparent to the purchaser when the product is purchased. It is the customer's responsibility to inspect this particular product prior to purchase to ensure that it is free from defects or damage. " - and they don't even have any Contact Info to discuss it. If you have a problem, you have to try to contact Beretta USA, their Stateside distributor. So because I didn't tear down my rifle completely to inspect it in the shop, during the Coronavirus-era, I got screwed. Still a great rifle, but I'd be ticked off if there was gouge in a new $499 Glock. For a $1,500 precision Finnish rifle, I'm very disappointed. But, at least it shoots pretty good!
