Smith and Wesson M&P 22 Threaded .22LR 3.6-inch 10rd Thumb Safety

I ordered this firearm for nra basic pistol training. i traded in a ruger sr 22 to cover part of the cost; it was ok, but not as accurate as the sw m&p compact. the sw m&p compact is the perfect training pistol, light, easy to rack and reliable. my students love it, and hopefully, smith & Wesson will get some secondary sales from this.

Very nice pistol. Put 500+ rounds thru it wiThout a single failure to feed or eject. Super light - Weighs nothing but still feels solid. GOod accuracy. Threaded barrel a plus.

Trigger Was broken from the moment I received it. Haven't even fired it once. I figured out that The mechanism that releases the hammer does not work. After contacting S&W, i have to send it back for repair. I asked them why can't I get a replacement since it is brand new never been fired. She said the warranty suggests if it's repairable, they repair it. Im pretty disappointed that an obvious manufacturing defect does not warrant a new item but rather a repair..it does not make me feel confident. Very disappointed.

It's pretty cool. Good for plinking. Threaded barrel is neat. Pretty much exactly what I wanted and expected. I guess my only complaint is that the magazines are that thin metal that make me worry that they'll break easily, but, y'know, what else would they have done?

Picked this up as soon as went on sale you will not find a better price. Threaded and ready to go for a suppressor! Excellent PSA customer service shipped it right out to my FFL had it in hand within a couple of days. I have fed it at least half a dozen types of ammo without a single misfire FTF or FTE. No complaints whatsoever.

LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT!! Is love to strong a word for a simple little 22? Not if its MP 22 Compact. Fit and finish is a ten and feels fantastic in hand. Feels great shoots great and has nice fit and finish. I am really impressed with this little gun. With that said M&P holsters that I tried did not fit this gun well. It is a little floppy even when you cinch it down. I tried three (blade tech blackhawk and uncle mikes) but none of them were what I would consider to be a good fit. This was purchased to try and find a 22 that would shoot SUBSONIC ammo without any problems feeding ejecting ect. Right out of the box I tried WinchesterRemington and Aguila subsonic ammo. I worked smooth and perfect with all three types of ammo. There were no problems like FTF or FTE from any ammo and I fired it as fast as I could pull the trigger. Bought this to help my girlfriend practice with. Should have got two of them. Stripped it down the pistol cleaned and oiled before heading out back to test it out. Ran like a dream. Used CCI mini mags and Federal bulk pack ammo. Couple hundred rounds with no FTF or FTE. She loves it I love it..whats not to love? Now just have to find a holster for her. Did a lot of research on this pistol before purchasing. I am lucky enough to have a friend who has a variety of 22 pistols. Shot his M&p side by side against comparable 22 pistols from ruger walther you name it. This thing feels good in the hand it's compact and confortable and smooth to shoot. Sights are great too. Got mine from PSA very fast shipping and best price anywhere. Over $100 cheaper that my LGS. Oiled it up and put 500 rds of federal bulk pack throught it. Thing was flawless. White

Very mixed emotions about this gun. Fits in my hand perfectly, light weight, easy to adjust the sights, easy to maintain. I watched a number of videos about this weapon and they all indicated that it worked perfectly with most brands of ammo. That is not the case. Using Wolf match grade ammo it jammed after every shot in a variety of ways. Shooting CCI mini mag it worked perfectly. I guess I’m going to have to try other ammo to see how it will perform. Gun issue….. or ammo issue? You be the judge. Do not regret the purchase.

Paired with Silenseco Sparrow Suppressor this is a most excellent target pistol. Using subsonic 22LR ammo it has a db level that is quite low and can be fired without ear protection. No snap or kickback whatsoever a favorite for the ladies out at the range. Note ATF $200 tax stamp and long waiting period on background check to own a "silencer". :(
