2 years agoI picked this up as a pocket gun, because I haven't yet found an IWB holster that I can wear comfortably. I've brought it to the range several times, and spend way more time unjamming and reloading than actually firing the thing. If it seems like a great deal, it's not. I shudder at the brand name, "Taurus".

2 years agoHave to use premium ammo or gun will stovepipe or jam often. Not very dependable if your life was in danger

2 years agoThis very affordable .380 is easy to conceal and to operate. However, its trigger action will need a lengthy break-in period for more inexperienced shooters that have never used a double action only trigger system. I basically took mine apart, polished anything related to the trigger action, lubricated it and put it back together along with dry firing it several hundred times with a snap cap dummy round chambered. The trigger pull is now very manageable and smooth now. Love this pocket pistol.

2 years agoI wanted a pocket pistol and it fits the bill. What I don’t like about it is the trigger pull, I will get used to it, and the sights. I’ll have to paint the sights. Once you break it down to clean, it’s a little bit difficult to get back together. Hopefully this will become easier over time.

1 year agoVery happy with my purchase. It is the first pocket gun I have bought that I forget it is in my pocket. Trigger pull is not bad, but I haven’t fired it that much. I liked it enough to buy another one from SW in all black. “Don’t leave home without it.”

1 year agoOverall a good small carry pistol that is comfortable in the hand and with the 7 round mag, not so much with the 6 round. Had a couple of jams at first but smoothed out after 3 mags or so, now it's fine. The trigger is on the stiff side but not a big deal for me. I also own a Taurus tcp 380 with the aftermarket finger grip extensions which I prefer to the spectrum because it just seems smoother and has a better trigger. Both are good options for ultra concealment and so far very reliable,

1 year agoI guess everything has gone up in price... Just 2 years ago, I paid $170 for this gun. Can't believe the almost 150% price increase. With that being said, rather nice little gun. Some feeding issues only with the DRT ammo. I have the black and white color model and the white polymer at the barrel gets very black very fast when firing a mag or 2 but other than that i like it.

1 year agoTried this at the range, 50 rounds and no problems. The swarehouse price of 249.99 is above MSRP of 224.24. I'll wait.

1 year agoPicked up on sale for $189 and the 3 clip jammed but it may have been the ammo. Looks like a gun one might find in a Star Trek movie or Halo video game. I really like the look of the firearm.

1 year agoI like the gun so far I put 60 rounds through it had two jams but I was using very cheap ammo. It is a little hard to put back together because the spring is so long .

1 year agoReliable and compact .380 acp semiautomatic. Comes with two magazines ( 7rd extended & 6 round flush)..."Always Bring It"

1 year agoDarn near perfect little pocket gun. Good looking, accurate and reliable IME. Not a fan of the rubber grippers on the slide, a bit slick for good purchase, it takes a fair amount of effort to rack. I like the fact you can get new mags cheap.

1 year agoSo far so good. I read a lot of mixed reviews before my purchase but I have had no issues. I have run three different types of ammo through the gun (including self defense rounds) and I have experienced no issues. The trigger pull is heavy but I am able to shoot the gun with very good accuracy.

1 year agoIt is a nice conceal gun. I now have 2, my first one initially wasn't cleanly feeding rounds into the chamber, might have been the ammo. With some use it has smoothed itself out. My 2nd Spectrum is all black and I have had no issues. I have found that Tul ammo, russian made, jams in Taurus guns. I am good with my purchase, if they sell cheaper later on they will truly be a good buy. 380 ammo is hard to find right now, beware.

1 year agoOrdered online. This little .380 is a great gun with a great low price. I wanted personal protection without the huge price tag. Easy to disassemble and easy to maintain. Comes with flush mag and full grip mag for a comfortable hold.

1 year agoMore trouble-free and accurate than the Ruger LCP II that it replaced. Sometimes a little hard to rack, as the friction strips to help doing so are not very effective. I tried to add a rack-assist back strap, but the instruction video for doing so was unclear. That's not a criticism of the gun, but of Galloway Precision who makes the gizmo. They did give me a refund when I sent it back though.

1 year agoThis is the perfect size gun to for everyday carry. I have several and this is the one gun that is with me all the time. It's light and shoots great. Very little recoil and I just think it's perfect for carrying.

1 year agoSuperior! I always carry my SA 911 .380 but in summer a bit heavy so I got this little guy. The reviews were good but it has Exceeded my Expectations. If I didn't know better I'd think it was custom made for my hand. Fits like a glove, tactile feel with factory inserts, easy to rack, soft to shoot and will chamber just about anything. 200 rounds thus far and zero FTF or FTE. Very safe to pocket carry w/ Taurus's new hammer system & field strips in about 5 seconds. For my purpose it is a close

1 year agoThis is an excellent little pocket carry piece. Coupled with a Allen "spiderweb" pocket holster, it doesn't print. Taurus engineering and craftsmanship assure accuracy and flawless function oveer several hundred rounds of various ammo. Remember to try it with your favorite JHP with a couple clips. One needs to know the self defense ammo will feed and reliably. I experienced no issues even with some ammo two decades old.
