This rifle is definitely a good entry level investment but certain specs need to be made clear to those wanting to gradually upgrade in the future. One would assume that since it's advertised as a carbine it would have a carbine length gas system but it's not clearly specified. It would be nice to know the materials used for the bolt carrier group. Also it's been my experience that most of these entry level rifles are manufactured with commercial spec buffer tube buffer spring stock
