In recent years, the SP-01 Shadow has taken the competition circuit by storm. In USPSA Production Division, CZ pistols are now used by twice as many top-level competitors than any other maker. Given that popularity, it was high time to up the ante.
Starting from scratch, CZUB engineers took the best features of the original Shadow and improved upon them. More than two years later, we’re seeing the fruits of their efforts. With a higher beavertail and undercut trigger guard, the shooter’s hand is able to be as close to the bore axis as possible. With a contoured slide, the majority of the reciprocating mass is also centered on the bore, equating to less muzzle flip. Increased weight at the dust cover/rail also helps keep the muzzle down. The Shadow 2’s swappable mag release has an adjustable, extended button with three settings to allow shooters to set it in the spot most comfortable for them. Best of all, new trigger components give smooth DA and crisp, clean SA while drastically reducing trigger reset.
A hardy nitride finish coats the entire pistol, leaving it nearly impervious to corrosion, with an Urban Grey Polycoat on the frame. Thin black aluminum grips have healthy checkering to match the fine front and backstrap checkering of the pistol itself. Sitting atop the slide is a set of target sights — fiber optic on front and a serrated, black HAJO rear (click adjustable for elevation, drift adjustable for windage).

1 year agoI bought this with the intention of shooting USPSA production and even though I haven’t competed with it yet, it is one of my favorites. I will tell you though, if you come from a steady diet of striker guns and snag one of these, it is going to take some time to truly get used to it. 1 year agoA custom quality pistol, at a reasonable price. I put a 8.5 lb hammer spring in it. Too light. Misfires 3 out of ten shots. Now has a 11 lb spring. Testing continues.

You’ll want to work out your last and biceps though, this is heavy is an understatement! 1 year agoI love this pistol. yes - it's heavy and I am a small Sixty something woman and i have learned that heavy is good. The trigger is amazing! No malfunctions so far (200+/- rounds). I will use it for training, classes, range and a local pistol league. I'm not as good a shooter as this pistol, but it is helping!!!! It feels wonderful in my hands.
