Ruger SP101 357 Mag Revolver, Black Rubber/Wood Grips – 15702

I've owned two handfuls of SP's in various forms. This new blued is my favorite. Shipped fast, great price and gun was in tip-top condition. The blued finish seems to have a smoother action than all my SS or previously owned TALO versions. It's both a looker and a shooter. If GaG maintains it's superb pricing, I will certainly pick up another. Ruger did a great job w/this gun. Added some Chigs Grips to dress it up; but factory inserts looked good out of the box. If looking for an SP, this is the one to have. 5 Stars.

I was looking to get an sp101 and when I saw the blued finish was available I knew I was going to get it. I have about 100 rounds through it and it runs nicely. Although consistent firing of 357 could be punishing, I found it quite tolerable to run for a couple cylinders and will heavily consider the round for carry depending on the situation. I absolutely cannot rate the Ruger Sp101 high enough. It is beautiful, built to last, fires 357/38/38P. and a perfect size to carry. I also have the Ruger GP 100, but the SP101 with the 2.25" barrel has become my favorite. It is said that the SP101 is "built like a tank" so much that is it is sickening, but it is true. You will not be disappointed if you purchase it.

Great ccw, stoked with 148gr WC. Rough trigger out of the box but it smoothed out within 100 rounds and is fabulous now. Very well built. Probably going to buy a second one.

Shoots and looks great. Feels good in mine and my wife's hands. Carries great may have to get a second one. It is built like a tank. Best 5 shot revolver out there.

I have put around 350 rounds of .357 magnum through this gun and I noticed that the hammer pin would start to walk out after about every 30 rounds. If you have larger hands I highly recommend that you change out the hand grips for something like a pack Myer or a houge so that you have more to hold onto.

With so many manufacturers producing small CCW semi autos I wanted to have a good traditional small revolver. Nothing beats the Ruger SP 101s.
