The pistol that ushered in the modern era at SIG, in its tried and true form. The modern SIG SAUER pistol story began with the P220. In 1976 the .45 ACP P220 was introduced and quickly became recognized as one of “the most accurate 45s right out of the box.” Since that time the P220 has earned an enviable record in hot spots around the world. The P220 features a stainless steel slide machined from barstock and coated with a durable, wear-resistant Nitron finish, light-weight alloy frame with integral accessory rail, and the SIG SAUER four-point safety system of decocking lever, patented automatic firing pin safety block, safety intercept notch, and trigger bar disconnector.

2 years agoI bought a P220 about 3 months ago. Very comfortable and reliable. Feels great in your hands and easy to control. Would recommend a P220 for anyone looking for a rock solid 45.

2 years agoAfter a long time of putting off the purchase, I received my P220 for Father's Day. I love the feel, function, and accuracy. The only thing I don't like is that I put it off for so long!

1 year agoEverything about this pistol is great. Easy to use. The single stack design is great for my hand size. The de-cocker design is brilliant. It is very accurate. ALWAYS reliable!

1 year agoWith a name like Sig Sauer you know dependability and quality is built into this weapon, and accuracy is its job.

1 year agoI bought this P220 back in November just before Thanksgiving at the Exchange at Camp Lejuene. the reason I bought it was to replace the Browning BDA 45 that I had bought in 1978. love the changes that were made like the magazine release and the rail to add accessories. Shoot as good as the old Browning.

1 year agoI bought an old one-I believe it was a Police trade in at some point, with numbers scratched on 2 of the mags. Shows wear everywhere, inside and out. God only knows it's history. Was clean inside and everything functions as new, or maybe smoother! All parts holding up very well. Someone took care of it. I doubt I have enough money for ammo to wear it out. It will out-live me. Still accurate, too!

1 year agoBought this pistol a couple years ago . Loved it before I bought it. Looked at it on-line for a while before ordering it from my gun shop. Loved it when I received it. Loved it more after shooting it. Carry it daily. Great pistol. Only negative is it is not listed here now.

1 year agoI have been looking all over and at almost all kinds of guns, such as reliability, accuracy, name, somehow affordable, design, somehow concealable too, powerful, having great night sights, Stainless Steel components, reliable magazine, triggers, safety, fit in my hand, DA/SA, coated well in order to prevent rust, and having almost a 1911 platform as close as possible, since I did not want the regular 1911, and also easy to clean. So, after numerous debates and searches, asking numerous experts,

1 year agoThis is a great addition to my 229C SAS, in 357. 229 in 40, now a 220 in 45. DA pull is lighter than a 229. Accurate, it only misses the bull because of shooter error. They are my carries. As soon as the 365 SAS come into the dealer, It will be added.

1 year agoWell I can't say that this (my handgun is new. My dad gave me his old P220 a couple years ago. Upon inspection I noticed that the slide is stamped "Made in West Germany" indicating that the pistol was manufactured sometime in the 80's... it's now 2019 and just last week I ran about 200 rounds through it at the range with ease. I've had this pistol for quite some time now and while it doesn't have more "modern" things on it I have no doubt that it'll outlive me.

1 year agoI have a personally owned 220 carry that I used as duty pistol for several years and I love it. I carried it over our agency issued 229. It has held up well and is a tack driver. I run it with a SRT trigger and action job from Grey's Guns. It was utilized in various environmental conditions from marine environment to hard winters.

1 year agoI bought my first P220 back in 2000 and it shot better out of the box than my buddy's CC he'd spent $1,200 on. It's still my carry piece today after well over 5K rounds!

1 year agoI’ve owned a single-action P220 for over a decade, and it is by far the best pistol I’ve ever used. It has never jammed or malfunctioned in any way, and after at least 5000 rounds, shows no real wear or damage. Totally accurate, totally reliable, and very comfortable to shoot. The thumb safety on the SA models can stay engaged while operating the slide, which makes loading the pistol feel safer (in my opinion) than a 1911. It’s a great range and home defense choice, but on the large side to carry.

1 year agoI purchased this gun 13 years ago and have put hundreds of rounds through it with no issues. Sad to see it has been discontinued.

1 year agoI own 3 P220 pistols, a standard Nitron, ST (stainless), and an Elite. All 3 have been flawless from day one. No complaints whatsoever. The elite is the only one with the SRT trigger. Overall a great pistol, was told “you don’t have a Sig, til you have a P220”.

1 year agoUnmatched craftsmanship and dedication to products you make for U.S Military and the rest of the World. Home of the .45 ACP... Born in Ogden Utah 1978 I began to look at the history of Sig Sauer. I was fascinated by the BDA models produced 1977-1980 with Morgan Utah on one side and W. Germany on the other. Upon purchase of my P220, Sig Sauer has a new customer for life. I look forward to collecting your products and training at your academy.

1 year agoLove this gun. So accurate the first time shooting it. Feels good in your hand. Single stack so its not too bulky. Only drawback is that it only holds 8 rounds in the Mag but I am in Cali so I am used to small mags. Just got to have a lot of them lol.

1 year agoIt is what you expect when you purchase a Sig. I wanted a Double/single action, Hammer fired, 45 ACP, not that many option in California. Sig delivered. I had been saving my rewards points for awhile, military discount, and with the Sig rewards money back i got the price down to $600.00 out the door.

1 year agoI have an old 220 I bought in the 90s. That pistol still shoots with the beat of the 1911s at the range. Expensive but well worth it! Iron sights and all basic. Accurate out of the box!
