A recent HK pistol design, the P30 is a modern police and security pistol that combines function and safety. Ergonomic features include a special grip frame with interchangeable backstrap inserts and lateral plates, allowing the pistol to be individually adapted to any user. Ambidextrous controls include dual slide releases and magazine release levers. Variants with a conventional double-action/single action trigger have a serrated decocking button located on the rear of the frame. A Picatinny rail molded into the front of the frame makes mounting lights, laser aimers, or other accessories easy and convenient. The extractor doubles as a loaded chamber indicator providing a subtle tactile and visual reminder of a loaded chamber. Extensively tested, the P30 has already been adopted by several European police agencies. Excellent weight and balance make the P30 naturally pointable, easy to control, and accurate to shoot. An open notch rear sight with luminous (non-radioactive) contrast points allows for fast and accurate target acquisition, even under poor lighting conditions.

1 year agoAbsolutely love this model. The double action single action trigger feels great for an individual with smaller hands like me. Also being able to change the sides and back on the handle are awesome as well. I love the 17 round magazines and the sights hold light very well when going into the dark. I would recommend this pistol.

1 year agoThe late Col. Jeff Cooper called SA/DA pistols “an ingenious solution to a non-existent problem” but he did admire the CZ75 and later, the Bren 10. I generally tend to agree but nothing fits me and subsequently hits for me like VP9s and P30s. The P30L further expands the horizon for me. And it HK. The engineering and quality legends are all true.

1 year agoAs a southpaw shooter this was right up my ally in ambidextrous firearm. Plus it came with sufficient extra magazines for my EDC concealed firearm. Smooth firing for novice beginners. I would recommend it folks who are looking for a EDC and or home defense protection firearm.

1 year agoLoved the p30 so much that I bought the p30L in the same configuration. A little more barrel length is a good thing, just ask your girlfriend/wife. Service was great as usual.
