The Henry garden gun is one that belongs right by your side as soon as you walk out the front door to start the day’s chores. Tuck it next to the seat of your tractor or riding mower and have it at the ready for when something slithers into view through the grass, dispatch those barn-dwelling birds without dispatching the barn around them, or exterminate the mice that are turning your garden into a buffet. This smoothbore lever action is a workhorse that belongs in a toolbox just as much as a gun safe. Using shotshell with a rifled barrel spreads the shot pattern too wide to be effective and damages the rifling over time, which is why our Garden Gun features an 18-1/2 Inches round blued steel barrel that is void of any rifling, providing the perfect platform for slinging 22 LR shotshell projectiles in a tight pattern and with a 15 round capacity there is plenty to go around. The black ash furniture provides a rugged look and sets this shotgun apart from the otherwise very similar classic lever action 22. A blued steel hammer, lever and trigger are at the heart of the exceptionally smooth action, which you must feel to believe. The adjustable rear sight and blade front sight provide all the accuracy you could need for the short-range shots that the garden gun is intended for. At a mere 5.25 lb and a compact overall length of 36-1/2 Inches this is a trim package for grab-and-go convenience. When your pests are all gone you just might find yourself asking the neighbors if you can help with theirs.

1 year agoTHIS RIFLE IS SO MUCH FUN TO SHOOT. IT WAS ACCURATE RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX. THE LEVER ACTION IS SO SMOOTH AND BUTTERY. I GET LOTS OF COMMENTS ON THE RANGE BECAUSE OF THE STOCK COLOR. OVERALL JUST A QUALITY FIREARM!

1 year agoI like it. It’s fun to play with. Very short range but I knew that before purchasing. It is an oddity and won’t be around for very long. It goes well with my Marlin garden gun, which was discontinued a few years ago.

1 year agoIt's still back at the factory getting the feeding problems corrected, but it sure was pretty to look at

1 year agoExactly as described on both Sportsman's Warehouse and Henry websites. Rugged looking stock is nice. As with most ammo lately, you have to look for the .22 shotshell ammo this gun is limited to using. Do not kid yourself that the barrel engraving noting the gun is for shotshell use ONLY is just B.S. The range of the 25-31 grains of #12 shot is not great so I have not found any need for optical sight of any kind, just make sure your eye knows to pick up and use the rear sight with the prominently visible front + hood.

1 year agoWhat can I say... it's a Henry, it's a reliable lever action, it is also a specialty tool for the elimination of garden pests without massive overkill and minimal damage to your surroundings.

1 year agoOMG...just got this gun last week....love it! I ordered 3 boxes of .22 shotshell from CCI; gonna need lots more! Fun to shoot and spot on for small pests like sparrows and blackbirds and starlings! Quiet too so won't bother neighbors. Get one, you won't be sorry!! This is the 2nd Henry I own, and there will be more! Excellent quality!
