2 years agoThe good. Great gun to shoot. Has the kick of a larger caliber pistol which helps in my shooting larger weapons. The Bad. Constantly jams or fails to eject the spent round. Every clip seems to have a problem, generally the first shot. Pistol is unreliable for any type of defensive use. Jams with budget rounds and expensive rounds.

2 years agoSo far it's about three star rating for me. Jams often. I used Winchester 40 grain ammo. May be I need to switch to CCI or Federal. I keep testing. More to come

2 years agoSo far I have fires around 500 rounds through the P22. I have experienced a few areas that were disappointing: 1) When reassembling the after cleaning I ran into difficulty getting the recoil spring to sit properly. The spring is not captures and is difficult to properly align during reassembly. I wound up purchasing and aftermarket captured spring. 2) This firearm is very fussy about the ammunition is is fed. The firearm will jam with bulk ammunition of various brands. It did not like

1 year agoI suppose it is ok, but I probably won't keep it. The trigger pull is at least 8 pounds. It does not like bulk ammo and jams every other shot unless you use CCI or better. Too much hassle takes the fun out of shooting. Reassembly without a captured guide rod also takes some practice.

1 year agoWas very pleased with the weapon. It is pleasant to shoot and with it's design being similar to other compact pistols and with it's accuracy it is relatively inexpensive way to practice.

1 year agoExcellent handgun for first-time shooter, practicing at the range and for concealed carry. Very little recoil. Maybe a little picky with 22 LR ammunition. Copper jacketed, clean burning, .22 ammunition that exceeds 1400 feet per second ensures P22 has enough power in order to rack the slide back and avoid feeding errors Great for the price and Walther always prides itself on ergonomics of their handguns

1 year agoDoes not like cheap ammo. Once I ran out of the good CCI and went to the bucket of bullets I had to tap the slide back with nearly every round. Exactly the same size as my sons M&P 9mm. Feels nice and comfortable, I like the trigger and slide and magazine releases.

1 year agoThe pistol is very good all overall The slide release is almost impossible to release with one hand.

1 year agoI really like how accurate, steady, and durable this firearm has been for me. I would highly recommend this and any other Walther Fire Arms products.

1 year agoNice 22 LR handgun, hold comfortable and less recoils, better to use 40 grains 22 LR ammo, jammed the 36 grains ammo.

1 year agoOne of the best pistols I own! It shots well and is very economical to train with as compared to other calibers, that is before the .22 ammo went crazy. The grip fits your hand well and is easy to switch between hands for off hand training. I love this pistol!

1 year agoThe P22 is great! The contoured grip is comfortable, recoil is minimal, and take down/cleaning is easy. Put about 400 greasy/oily rounds thru the P22 until rounds intermittently failed to chamber a round. (very nasty rounds) The internals were filthy, I'm amazed it functioned that long! My wife loves the P22 and qualified with it despite the jamming. I like it too, for the range or for a new shooter to try. Glad to have this fun handgun.

1 year agoGreat for easy inexpensive ammunition. Range shooting and plinking. You will get the occasional failure to eject or fire with rim fire ammo. The extra grip back for larger hands is nice that it comes with it stock. The magazines are very easy to load with a slide to hold the spring down. I think this is a great gun to learn or start someone out on. Part of the reason for this purchase.

1 year agoThis was a birthday gift for my wife with arthritis, who could never rack the slide on her Hellcat. I had recently taken her shooting with an borrowed 22 and she liked that she could actually rack the slide. Having read about the P22,I went into this knowing I need to buy 40 gr ammo for it, so with eyes open, it's a great little gun.

1 year agoI'm and older women with arthritic hands. This is the perfect gun. Great fit, easily operated, nice quality. A really fun gun to shoot and practice with.

1 year agoTook it out for the first time and put about 300 rounds thru it. Used 40gr high velocity bullets. Had just a few jams, as you normally due with .22 ammo. Gun worked very well. It is a lot of fun to shoot.

1 year agoI got this little pistol on sale and tested it twice since cycling a total of 500 rounds through its short barrel. I’m impressed so far. I read about a lot of ammo issues prior purchase and didn’t experience any. I used different CCI and Federal ammo and had exactly one hiccup. The small pistol feels great in my large hands and shoots great. I’d buy it again. It’s a nice plinking gun.

1 year agoSeemed quite reliable with only a few jams but those cleared quickly. It felt better than an SR 22 but I liked that as well.

1 year agoSuper fast! Had it shipped to my local FFL, less than 1 week. Started my 10 background check today. Beautiful firearm. Thanks!!
