Like stagecoaches, swinging saloon doors and Pony Express riders, there are many innovations of the old west that have long faded from use and live on only in western movies and history books. But there are still a few frontier staples that were so effective and ahead of their time that they remain in use today. Take, for instance, the intimidating octagonal barrels commonly found on the repeating rifles of that period. These heavy-duty workhorses sported added mass and extra weight to aid in heat absorption, making them the forerunners to the bull barrels used on modern target and varmint rifles. So as a tip of our Stetson in honor of this timeless barrel style, we replaced the standard round barrel normally used on our world-famous .22 LR and .22 Magnum rifles with a classic 20 inches octagonal model, like those favored by the cowpunchers, lawmen, homesteaders and outlaws who blazed the trail westward across America. You can also opt for the 24 inches barrel option to really tighten up those groups at the range. We rounded out this traditional look with an easy-to-adjust marbles semi-buckhorn rear sight with a diamond insert and a highly visible brass beaded front sight seated in standard 3/8 inches dovetail slots. A metal barrel band secures both the barrel and the high-capacity tubular magazine to the highgrade American walnut stock. If you prefer a more modern look, the receiver is grooved so you can top off any rifle in this line with your choice of scopes. Both the stock and forearm are crafted of the same richly grained hand-finished American walnut typically found on rifles costing up to three times as much.

Excellent quality from Henry, the lever is very smooth to operate. Absolutely love the walnut furniture and the blued finish, along with the buckhorn sights.

Bought this last week and went straight from the gun counter to the gun range. Took out of the box and was shooting at a half life size human silhouette with factory sites at 25 yards, (range is an indoor one.) Was hitting either center mass or head depending on where I was aiming. If I missed it was because I moved right as I was shooting. I have the H001TMRP (.22 Mag) and the H001 (.22LR). I will be getting the LR and Mags to complete the pairs as I LOVE this gun that much. If you have any children who Love to shoot or hunt I can NOT recommend this gun enough. I suggest you get the Mag for yourself and the LR for the kids.

This is an excellent rifle. I shoot semi and bolts actions most of the time but I am training to shoot rimfire limited with this new rifle. So far I love it. It can shoot fast and accurate.

Great gun. Functions flawlessly and got it for a great price. Appreciate that it was ship to store so I didn't have to keep going back to see if it was in stock.

Henry octagon 22 mag rifle, excellent quality, smooth action and smooth trigger. OCTAGON BARREL IS LIKE A TARGET BULL BARREL.

Had one back in the 80’s (Colt version). Worked great with a variety of ammo and accuracy was good enough for small game especially in a survival situation. Foolishly traded it. May get another though significantly more expensive now. Had it in my snowmobile emergency kit in the winter.

Am very happy with my Henry 22wmr and also my Henry 17hmr that I am adding to the collection of Henry firearms I am putting together for my 15 yr old grandson. The guys at Cary Bass Pro have been very curtious and very helpful especially Eddie who has went above and beyond to help track down and making it extremely easy to obtain the Henry firearms. I will be getting many more firearms thru Cary Bass Pro to add to the collection. Thank you again Eddie for all you do.

Super fun, accurate out of the box. Only one hundred fifty rounds or so but not a single issue. Henry is a great company. I had a minor issue with another rifle from them and they fixed it quickly.

Love the looks of this Henry. Have to take stock off and four screws to clean with rod. Hard to find well made cleaning tools. Had a very small nick by the stock screw. Would have bought the Henry 22 if I had known about cleaning this rifle.

This rifle is a work of art. Looks so good you don't want to shoot it .I have a Winchester 94 and the action on it does not even come close to this Henry. They are costly but you get what you pay for. Fast and easy service from Cabelas. If you are thinking of getting one don't wait. You won't be sorry.

Beautiful rifle, but we had lots of feeding issues with the Henry 17HMR. It went back to the factory and Henry customer service was great. My suspicion is that the 17HRM cartridge being a necked down 22mag is that it doesn't have the full length, straight case to stabilize it in the Henry carrier. At this point I'd recommend the Henry 22mag or a Long Ranger in 308 or 6.5CM

I love it but again I had to send it back to Henry Rifle to find out why it wouldn't chamber a round. I'm sure that they will fix it and am looking forward to shooting it

Honestly I haven’t shot my Henry rifle yet but I’m very impressed with the fit and finish of it. It has every indication of a quality firearm. The reason I went with the Henry for my 17 HMR was because of recommendations from friends that know much more about firearms than myself. I can’t wait to shoot it and I’m confident that I’ll be more impressed with it after I do.

Just took it out of the box, cleaned the bore and fired it five times. The rifle is right on out of the box,no sight adjustment. All shots hit the same place. Also Guns.com was great o deal with. Great customer service and prompt shipping.
