2 years agoGreat little 22. I bought this to get into precison 22 shooting. Heavy Barrel , bolt is solid. Very accurate. Supressor ready is a plus. Trigger is better than expected.
A real bargain
2 years agoSavage keeps their prices down but not quality or accuracy. Perfect in every way for a bargain price.

2 years agoPerfect little rifle. Nice fit and finish for the price. The magazine is a little lacking but it works like it should when you get use to it. Five shot groups at 50 yards are almost touching. Trigger is great for such a cheap 22.

1 year agoIncredibly accurate, feels premium, really light and 0 issues after shooting more than 1000 rounds. If you want to shoot on the cheap / varmint hunting I definitely recommend you this rifle!

1 year agoGreat value! I am shooting right around .75-1 moa with the right ammo. So far, this likes the higher velocity 1200+ fps/40gr. Have about 300 rounds thru it. Accu trigger not the best but adjusted to its lowest pull not too bad. Overall great purchase for the price.

1 year agoi wanted something in 22 i can suppress for pest control and this was my best option for not only price but quality. the build is very nice and i paired if with a vortex crossfire 2 2-7 with vortex hunter scope rings. overall great setup i have. only downside is it only comes with 1, 5 round mag so i picked up 3 10 round mags

1 year agoBought this 22lr to introduce my grandson to gun safety and shooting. I have taken him twice to the range since purChasing the rifle. He did very well. I did not have a power scope available, but did install a red dot. The rifle shoots Very well. Had some issues early on with the ejector, but traced the cause back to cheap and very dirty bulk ammo. Once i switched to CCI rounds, the gun worked flawlessly. It is a great shooting and accurate rifle. I made the correct purchase for sure.

1 year agoLet me start by saying I would rate this five stars. If it weren’t for an issue, I discovered. Before I properly mounted a scope, I double checked the Picatinny rail and it was not installed properly from the factory. When I removed the screws they were stripped.

1 year agoI purchased this Savage strictly for suppressed, subsonic use using Winchester Super Suppressed 45 grain ammunition that function perfectly in my autoloading MSR .22LR. It also works well in a friend's old SIG auto pistol and his auto rifle. However, the chamber on my Savage and his Savage are tight SAAMI specs and neither will reliably eject the Win. SS 45 gr. ammunition due to its little bit larger bullet diameters. So this is a failed experiment and I have converted this Savage to

1 year agoVery accurate, on par with my custom built and tuned .308" chassis rifle. Stock is all plastic which feels a bit cheap, but is lightweight. The buttstock comb is really low and doesn't give a good cheakweld even with really low scope rings. At around 500 rounds fired I got some problems with really hard bolt movement and after cleaning and luring I noticed some wear on the bolt handle where it locks up against the receiver. Not real bad but are a bit worry some and might be questionable for

1 year agoThis is a lovely rifle. I have the FVSR, which is basically the synthetic stock with the bull barrel and a tactical or rather tacticool bolt. It groups well and is not choosy about ammo. Would have loved a single shot adapter though.

1 year agoCouldn’t be happier with this little 22. I put a vortex cross fire 2-7x32 that is perfect for this type of rifle. It is a tack driver at 50-75 yards, cat wait to try it suppressed. Yes the main downfall is the stock but there are plenty of options out there when the time comes to upgrade.

1 year agoVery accurate rifle for small amount of money. Out shot my stock 10/22. Also the savage has more upgrades included than the 10/22 has. I love this rifle.

1 year agoI love this little rifle. This plus Arken SH4 shooting CCI Standard Velocity. Prior to this combo I didn't know a .22lr could accurately shoot 250y as consistent as this setup does! Cheap setup too!!!

1 year agoThis is a handy little rifle. I purchased it to use with my a suppressor, and the fact that it has a short barrel and smaller profile lends itself well to use with a suppressor. It shoots well, feeds reliably, has a nice trigger, and is a very functional rifle. The magazine is a little clunky, and the safety is a little stiff, but I think these may improve a little with time. Overall, it does what I need it to do, and I'm satisfied with the purchase.

1 year agoGreat little rifle. Have shot 12x20 steel out to 400 yrds using sub-sonic ammo suppressed with this gun. It is accurate. The steel mags work great…very little feeding issues. There are 10rd mags available and they are not too terribly long. Gun still fits well on a bench even with the higher capacity mag. I do wish a double stack mag was available, but its not really an issue to me. Much better made than some other rifle models at this price point and some that are twice as much. Its short frame

1 year agoI have about 300 guns and this one is my favorite "functional" weapon. I like it so much, I purchased another one for backup in case it fails or they stop making it. I run a sling, Harris bipod, Warne scope rings (medium) and a Nikon EFR 3x9 scope... and a Silencerco Sparrow. I shoot only subsonic ammo and have surprisingly found Remington subsonic hollow points to be the most lethal for small game such as crows, coons, and rat monkeys. We also have a game where we shoot flies off a barrel

1 year agoThis is my second one. My first one has a 2-7 scope, heavy Boyds stock, and a bipod on it. The second one I left completely stock except put a holosun hs403b on it. The are both accurate enough to put 5 bullets through one hole at 50 yards. I have had zero issues with either gun. The first gun has ≈7,000 rounds through it, and second one only has about 200 rounds through it.
