I bought the Orion to take on a bird hunting safari to South Africa. I found the Orion fit and finish to be equal to if not better than its compeitors in $2000 range. The Orion performed flawlessly. For the money, there is not a better gun made. Buy it!

Picked up this over and under and went out put 100 shells though it. Performed excellently good value and beautiful. Only wish it had come with a case. However SKB case fits well.

It is my favorite shotgun. I have four. It is well balanced and just the right length and nice and light. Long enough for long range shooting and short enough for quick shots in the woods. I have the 26″ 12 gauge barrel.

Very happy about this gun. We bought it to have an extra field gun for friends and guest to hunt with. Carries well at 7lbs and folds birds like a champ. Would highly recommend this O/U

One of the best O/U shotguns I’ve bought. Outperforms all of my $2000+ shotguns! Best hunting purchase I’ve ever made!

I was all set to purchase a new Baretta silver pigeon and saw the Orion on sale at half the price. Liked the way it looked and shouldered better than the Baretta and bought it on the spot. The gun has performed flawlessly in the field and I am 100 percent happy with my purchase. Kudos to Weatherby for a great shotgun at a reasonable price.

VERY WELL DONE, ARRIVED PERFECT, SIMPLE ASSEMBLY. I DID PUT A LITTLE HIGH END PENETRATING FLUID IN THE MECHANISM TO LOOSEN IT UP A BIT, WITH TODAY'S CNC TOLERANCES IT WAS A LITTLE TIGHT. WENT OUT & SHOT ABOUT 200 CLAYS & HAD A BALL. CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT WEEK.

This is my first over and under shotgun I won’t. I love this gun. If not too heavy and the wood grain is beautiful. If they made it in a 20 I would buy one also

I shoot trap with the orion almost every sunday. My shooting buddies all say hiw its so light. They all love shooting it if i let them, which i do let them shoot a couple of shells thru it. I really love it and have always been a weatherby fan so this makes me a bigger fan. Shoots very well but also is a very attractive, good looking gun. Grab was easy to deal with. Glad i found them on line.

I bought this online and had it shipped to my local gun store. When I picked it up, the guy there told me he had one just like it and it was the best over-under you could get for the money (and they don’t sell Weatherby products at that store). I have to say, I think he was right. Although I will admit that this is the only over-under I own, it is also the only over-under I plan on owning. It is a good looking gun, but not so pretty that you’re afraid to use it.

30 years on my 20 gauge Orion, and it has been a pleasure the whole time. Birds and clays. Great balance, feel, and flawless performance. Everyone I meet in the field asks about “the beautiful gun”.

I really love this gun! I have shot already 200+ Rounds through it and the gun performed flawlessly. For the price, there is no better OU. The POW grip and gloss finish on this gun is excellent and better than any of the competitors at this price point!

I bought mine 6 months ago. It looks awesome, however it is a little bit on the flashy (glossy) side. At the beginning it was extremely stiff. Shooting slugs it tends to kick quite a bit, but recoil is still bearable. No malfunctions to speak of. I would recommend it to anyone.

I made a wise choice and I don’t mind bragging. Really, the gun is very well made, fit and finish is perfect. The gun looks like a $2000 gun. Best of all my score has increased by 20%. I was loosing interest in shooting and now I look forward to each Saturday match. The gun has everything you need and nothing you don’t.

Wow….what a sweet handling 20 ga. Nicely balanced. Little to no felt recoil. Shoulders and points very well. Wood on mine is rather plain but the gloss finish makes up for it. Buy with confidence.

I finally bought the Orion 1 after a fairly comprehensive consideration of online reviews and also handling multiple over under shotguns in a similar price point. I am thrilled with my decision. Yeah yeah, blah blah, “it’s not a Citori, it’s not a Beretta 686…” noted shotgun snobs, it is SUBSTANTIALLY more affordable and a very well made, attractive, excellent shooting shotgun. This shotgun is a great value for the price point, it is robust in the field, it points and shoots flawlessly. I will … Read More
