Tobias Obermeit had a vision to build a semi-auto .22WMR pistol that holds 30 rounds in a flush-fit magazine. Roughly based on an early, futuristic looking George Kellgren design, the PMR30 was released in 2010 with high praise and stands out as one of the most innovative handguns in the world today.

Features:

She’s quite svelte, but don’t let the sleek design fool you. The PMR30 defines handgun firepower with its 30 round .22 Magnum capacity. Although perfect for backpacking, camping and range day plinking, the PMR30 can also play a role in home defense for the recoil shy among us.

Right out of the box, the PMR30 offers excellent target acquisition due to its fiber optic front & rear sights. It also features an integrated accessory rail to mount a weapon light for those dark rooms or evening situations.

The Hi-Viz sights, 4.4″ barrel, excellent 5lb trigger and the option to mount an optic all play a role in the PMR’s accuracy. As long as you pay attention to the fundamentals, the PMR30 will deliver.

I love how it fits my hand and it’s not to wide . I was worried about it jamming but after 1000 rounds no problem. I shot federal , Winchester and CCI didnt matter ran them all . I worry about the trigger pull a little , it’s very light . Don’t rest your finger on the trigger ever . 3.0 - 3.7 pound trigger pull . Accuracy could be better but a lot of that is me. 30 yards no problem 6” group . Love this gun

Like other PMR's, including a previous one I owned, It should have been named the PMR-25. Even with a loader (accessory), the springs are so strong that it is virtually impossible to get more than 25 rounds into the "30-round" magazines. Two other annoyances include: Mounting a red-dot scope on the back of the slide, as shown in a lot of photos, will be VERY expensive. There are at most only 3 brands/models that will fit, due to size but more importantly, to weight of the optic; my

This gun is surprisingly versatile. It’s replaced my 38/357 as my nightstand gun for many reasons, capacity being one of them but just the general maneuverability, lightness and responsiveness. The under barrel rail is a big plus with plenty of room for a taclight or laser (or combo). The mags are finicky and sometimes cause feed issues but not if you load them correctly. I’d buy this gun again and as a matter of fact will likely get a second one if they ever wind up back in stock.
