Springfield Armory Saint Victor AR-15 5.56mm NATO 16in Melonite Semi Automatic Modern Sporting Rifle – 10+1 Rounds – California Compliant – Springfield’s Saint Victor is the ideal refinement of the time-tested AR-15 design and represents everything that a defensive carbine should be. It features extra-tough, forged aircraft-grade 7075 T6 aluminum upper and lower receivers joined using the Accu-Tite system and Type III hard coat anodized finish. It utilizes a free-float M-Lok handguard, mid-length ditect impingement gas system paired with a heavy tungsten buffer, the Saint also has an M16 bolt carrier group machined from Carpenter 158 steel, shot peened and magnetic particle inspected. The 16″ Chrome Moly Vanadium barrel is treated with Melonite and has a 1:8″ twist rate for complete ammunition flexibility. The optic-ready out of the box, the flat-top receiver is topped with Springfield Armory’s low profile flip-up dual aperture rear sight with 1/2 MOA windage adjustment capability, and an A2-style gas block post front sight. The Bravo Mod 2 6-position buttstock is rattle-free with positive cheek weld areas, a rubber butt plate, and one fixed and two QD sling attachment points.

1 year agoSo many things were loose on this rifle. Less than 30 rounds in, the front trigger pin slips out. Fixed that and 2 rounds in, the gun isn't cycling rounds unless manually racked. Seems that the gas key was not properly staked and had quite the wiggle. The hand rail was also loose. Pretty poor experience with Springfield Armory. I wish I would have seen Honest Outlaw on YouTube's video before purchasing.

1 year agoI think you are a little early asking for my review. I live in California and there is a 10 day waiting period. Hence, I have not taken delivery of the rifle. However, I did get to inspect it when filling out the DROS paperwork. It looks like it is well made and I look forward to taking it to the range.

1 year agoI have not yet taken my California compliant Springfield Saint Victor to the range. However, I do have one complaint: The stock is slightly loose and moves 2-3 mm side to side. I will be placing a Thordesn stock on the rifle, so this is not an issue. However, I am disappointed in Sprinfield's quality control.

1 year agoShoot about 500 rounds through it with Federal and Norma Tac bulk 223 55 grain brass ammo with no problem. Love the 45 degree ambidextrous safety, so I can rest my thumb on. The muzzle brake makes it very loud but with double ear protection, it is ok. Even tested out with CMMG 22lr conversion kit with only one stove pipe after 200 rounds. However, the dirty 22lr ammo make the trigger incredibly difficult to pull at the end. Switched back to shoot 223 to blow out the residual and the trigger went

1 year agoThis beauty is a fun piece. Iron sights range ready comfortable hold with the fin. Runs 5.56 and 223 and I will say it’s a toss up between the two rounds they both ran smooth. I put 100 5.56 and 37 223 through it and the hand guard didn’t really heat up it got warm a lil. I also added a sig safer Romeo 5 red dot and a Strike Industries Link Curved Foregrip that come a day too late so i wasn’t able to use either when I got to the range but that calls for another trip soon. Overall 5 star buy so far.

1 year agoFinally got the AR I wanted. This is a great rifle with some great features at the price! Sportsman Warehouse in my area was great to work with. Rich was great and was very professional!

1 year agoI really like the Springfield Saint Victor. Even with the California compliant grip it is easy to shoot. It is a very accurate rifle and sighting in the iron sights was easy. I like the standard magazine release and also the ambidextrous safety. I had to wait a few months for it to become available in my area, but it was wort the wait. If you are considering buying one of these, I would highly recommend it.

1 year agoThe staff at sportsman Corona are amazing. I like the style of the rifle except for the grip but the handling was very great .????

1 year agoExcellent rifle, very accurate out of the box, nice set up put together by Springfield... the soft case provided is nice bonus... few hundred rounds at the range and zero issues.

1 year agoGood AR15 that was available with a lot of features out of the box compared to other models in this price range. Trigger has a nice 5-5.5lbs pull depending on finger placement. Nice 45 degree ambi-safety. Would recommend changing out the charging handle to an ambi.

1 year agoExcellent. Love it and very reliable. Handle all 556 and 223 in excellent performance. Very reasonable price and it was great to see it available at my favorite store.

1 year agoThis rifle is pretty light weight and fires with minimal recoil but power behind it. The irons that come with this rifle are easy to use and useful as a backup incase a red dot is installed. The free floating handguard makes to it easier to adjust holding the rifle. A good rifle for handling and fun shooting it. This rifle is advertised for home defense and seems it can do the job.

1 year agoWhat a great AR. This thing is well made with many of the feature you would add to an AR is already included with the saint

1 year agoLove this rifle. Fired 180 rounds. The trigger is good, the magazine is not good, the spring is too tight, and the bullet is stuck 4 times. Borrow 20 rounds of a friend’s magazine to solve the problem and need to change to 20 rounds. My daughter likes this gun. She was 13 years old and felt a little recoil.

1 year agoGreat gun right out of the box. 100 rounds through it, flawless performance. Good service from Sportsman’s counter staff. Very helpful with all questions had. I will continue to purchase from them.

1 year agoLove the feel, weight, and how it shoots. Easy to clean, and take care of. Thanks to the sale staff and recommendations, this is a great pick. Even when I went on to find other video reviews, and first takes, it matches everything I could have said about it. I feel confident in my choice, and having this great, and reliable self-defense tool!
