I bought this gun for sporting clays, skeet, and 3 gun sporting competitions. It cycles flawlessly, is light and an overall great shotgun. The only negative is that extra barrels are expensive.

I have a benelli sbe 2 and after purchasing my m2 it kinda makes me wonder why I even have the sbe 2. I know each gun patterns differently even with the same choke, but my m2 is flat out impressive. This gun just fits me right and when shouldering and shooting it, its like it is a part of me. Some will argue that the recoil is absorbed by the comfort tech stock but this gun still has a little more sting than a gas operated gun. This gun shoots about a 70/30 pattern which I really like so I can aim right under what I am shooting at. If it were between this and the sbe 2 and you weren't gonna need to shoot 3.5's then I would say definitely get the m2. Outstanding shotgun!!

I've quite literally gone through thousands of rounds with this gun. I have immediate access to land I can shoot clays on. I would shoot this gun three to four days out of every seven day week. I went through at least a hundred rounds during each session. It didn't matter whether I was shooting expensive shot shells with high brass, or the cheapest shot shells I could possibly fine. The gun never, ever, failed to cycle; period. I was able to shoot my own reloads through the gun without issue too. I've shot a number of different semi - auto shotguns by numerous manufacturers. Reliable cycling is one of the most prevalent issues; especially with light target loads. I put on a Nordic Comp 10 shot magazine extension with this thing too. Still no problems. It's simply an incredible gun. In addition to it's never fail reliability, the cyclic rate is incredibly fast too. This is a gun you won't outrun.

If you've ever heard someone say that 80% of wild game is taken by 10% of the hunters. I am that 10%. I hunt everything in season, several times a week and I wanted just one shotgun, so I went with the M2. I couldn't be happier. This gun performs flawlessly on the skeet range, duck hole, dove field, turkey woods, and will drop a rabbit in its tracks. I can feed it any 2 3/4 or 3 inch shell with no fear of it not cycling. I've had it 2 years and all my friends are switching to M2s or Benelli. I highly recommend this gun for any sport that you would need a shotgun for, just make a choke tube change and you're off. Besides it's performance, my favorite part of the gun is how easy it breaks down and travels. I just break it down, put it in it's case, and throw it in my suit case and my wife doesn't realize that our family trip just became a hunting trip till it's too late! Do yourself a favor, spend the extra money and just have one all around shotgun. Best investment I ever made.

I purchased this shotty to be my all around, all purpose semi auto shotgun. The first weekend I owned it I put over 300 rounds down the 21" barrel without failure! We shot skeet, quail, pheasant, and I plan to use it as my turkey gun this spring. U get a total of 5 choke tubes with this fine weapon and all work very well. I have always been a Mossburg or Winchester guy when it comes to shotguns and did allot of thinking before I pulled the trigger on a high end shotgun. I have absolutely no regrets about this purchase. The only thing I may do different is go with a 24" barrel instead of the 21", but the 21" may be more versatile. Great shotgun at a decent price, especially when compared to other Benelli models and the features you get.

Want a shotgun for almost every feasible hunting scenerio? If so, them look no further. With 5 choke tubes and a hardshell case, this gun has a factory preset for success in any and all situations. This gun has a great feel and balance for clays/upland game as well as the punch necessary to take down a world class gobbler. With the inertia driven system there is no problem cycling the cheapest of low brass shells as you may have with other autos. Don't let the 3in chamber discourage you from purchasing this either. 2ND day of spring turkey season I smoked my first gobbler from between 40 to 50 yards with a carlson longbeard choke tube and federal turkey load 3in. 1 7/8 Oz 4 shot. Only downside is it is advertised here as 5+1 and with the plug, you're only gonna get 2+1.

The reason why i gave it 4 star is because its advertised as 5+1 which is not the case. The shotgun itself comes with a mag limiter which will only fit 1+2. You would have to remove the limter (which is this annoying little orange stick inside the mag) and even at that the mag will only fit 3+1, which was kinda disappointing but i was going to extend the tube anyways. The other was was that he loading gate will eat your thumb like no other. I hate loading shells into this thing. Theres a little gap at the end of the loading gate where when u load a shell your thumb will get caught in between the gate and magazing tube. So im buying a aftermarket loading gate. Other than that, the shotgun is great. It's very light and i was able to shoot a clay in midair aiming with one hand ( im a low build dude, so for the bigger guys this will be like holding nothing). The comfortech system is nice. I rapid fired (2+1, cuz i didn't find out about the limiter till i got home lol) and i definitely noticed the recoil reduction where i was able to stabilize my shotgun after each shot. The punch with each shot was eh.. Its a 12 gauge so you will feel it regardless. Overall the shotgun is great, i noticed an improvement on aim when it comes to shooting clays in the air. I was able to hit a steel target @ 100 yards with a slug. Went through 175 Winchester heavy load bird shot and about 30 slugs with no hiccups. Cycling is very quick, trigger pull is nice and crisp, weight again is light and easy to sway side to side when aiming, fiber optic end sight is nice (you will get a slight mirage effect when your aiming down the barrel after shooting it from the heat lol), and sliding the bolt u feel no friction whatsoever, very smooth. For the price u get what u pay for, kinda. I really hate that loading gate. Benelli M2 Field 26incher

Bought this over a month ago and took it to the skeet / trap range. Shot 125 rounds thru it using several different ammo manufactures purposely. Using low / high power ammunitions' to put gun through the paces. Worked flawlessly. 2 3/4 and 3" inch shells However, you'll noticed I did not give it 5 stars. This is due to the guns Receiver and Barrel connection. (Interlock) Magazine cap is very tight and there is still a "very" slight movement (1.5 mm ) from left to right with barrel and receiver. This should be a of solid form from butt of gun to end of your barrel front site.

Couldn't be happier, this gun cycles light 1 oz loads with no issue when I shoot Skeet and Sporting clays for fun/practice in below freezing temperatures!

There is absolutely no other shotgun on the market today that I would rather go into the field with other than the Benelli M2 Field shotgun, 20 gauge or 12 gauge. It is the absolute ideal working field shotgun in all types of weather and temperatures. The bonus is the M2 only takes minutes to clean, if you choose to clean it.
