2 years agoI've had this rifle for 6 months now and it is hands down one of my favorites. I bought the 308 with the 20 inch barrel. So far it likes the Federal 180gr Fusion bullets the best. I am getting 2540fps from the short barrel which is impressive. Grouping are around 0.5moa if I do my part. Recoil is VERY light. As with all 110s the action will smooth out after 50 rounds or so and then you'll have a real slick shooter! I did have an issue with the magazine which led to many failures to feed. It turns out the feed lips on the magazine were not correct. Savage sent me a new mag and the issue was fixed. Magpul is to blame, not Savage. My only real issue with this rifle is that Savage lists the weight at 7.38lbs. When I add my scope and rings my rifle weighs in at 9.5lbs. The issue is that my scope and rings only add 21oz. There's 13oz of weight that Savage is not accounting for. The real weight of just the rifle should be 8.19lb. Shame on Savage for misrepresenting the weight as I was looking for a 8.5lb gun all in, not a 9.5lb gun. Add ammo and this thing is over 10lbs!

2 years agoThe rifle can be set up to fit your own custom fit with the Accustock and Accu Trigger. Very accurate out of the box. The trigger has no creep and has a crisp break at the 1.5 pounds I have it set at. Pic is at a 200 yard zero.

2 years agoI have owned sever rifles many of them being Savages. My Savage rifles have always been among my best shooting right out of the box and this model 110 Tactical is another winner! The accu-stock and accuracy-trigger make this an extremely accurate platform. I am very impressed with the fluted heavy barrel and the fact that it is threaded for choke or suppressor is icing on the cake! Here’s the bottom line for me. I shoot sub MOA groups with at long distances with no customization other that good optics! You will love this rifle!

2 years agobought brand new . Bought 6.5 cm, rifle arrived after some rtime canada post lost it .. rifle arrived with inspection tape on carton intact.. seriel number matched carton ..opened shipping carton.. first impression was wow, black grease everywhere.. fillings and scarf.. around chamber and down barrel.. then when wiping off some of the grease we saw thT the barrel was marked 6.5prc.. rechecked the series number.. correct , unpacked bolt serial number matched .. bolt felt like it had been dropped in a sand pit.. maggazine was loose.. rattles and actually fell out.. magazine was marked 300 RUM.. gunsmith and club members were alarmed .. try chambering a dummy 6.5 prc round no way won't close bolt into battery. Checked with go nogo same ..notified cabelas and savage.. both wanted it back immediately.. cabela rep was obviously caught in middle and was helpful, polite, poor quality control and safety inspection Savage.from patheticly so..however I own another, in 308, and night and day .. not the smothest action . But still am shooting at about 1.2moa out to 700yrds

2 years agoI purchased this when Cabela's had a sale on them last November. Mine is a 6.5 Creedmore. I added a fair to middlin scope and a bipod. No problem hitting targets out to 500 yards.

1 year agoGood day, I bought this rifle because I'm a fan and owner of the 300 PRC (also a Savage BA-10 Tactical Police sniper rifle (re-barreled from 300 Winchester Magnum). I bought the rifle in November and finally found factory ammo for the 6.5 PRC Tactical. I just started breaking in the barrel today. To my pleasant surprise my worst group at 100 yds was under a 1/2". Best group under 1/4 ." An Amazing rifle!!!! Customizable, fluted barrel, w/20 MOA rail built in. The ammo was Hornady 147 ELD hunting rounds. Savage you all really made a winner!!!. Great quality, price, and features!!!! I had a bad experience 20 years ago w/ Savage. It's great to see that Savage is a top shelf, descent priced, quality rifle. Thank you Savage!!!

1 year agoFirst deer rifle I have bought, and I couldn’t be happier!! It has a smooth action, keeps a great zero, and is super comfortable to hold/shoulder. The 10 round PMag that’s included has a nice little appeal as well!!

1 year agoPicked up the 110 Tactical 6.5 Creedmoor at my local BPS, and the rifle is amazing. I put blue Loctite on the base screws and torqued them down. I added my scope and dialed it in at 100 yards and shot just over 1/2 inch group with Hornady Match 147 grain ammo. The trigger came out of the box at 1 pound 5 ounces and breaks clean with no creep that I can feel. The adjustable stock and comb are great and have lots of adjustment. The barrel is without a doubt truly free floated due to the aluminum block and the stiff polymer they've used. A great rifle so far.

1 year agoI bought this in 6.5 , sighted in and it was stacking sub MOA out of the box. Takes a bit of prep to get it right but once it’s on it’s really on.

1 year agoWhen picking gun up at the counter there was a waiting list. I says to take a picture of a scan code to get on the list. After 20 min with people behind me being Helped I just chalked it up to a mistake I made and they manually added me to the list. I was no 4 according to the text msg. I got another text to come to the counter as I was close. Well 5-6 people that arrived after me were helped. At this point and 2hrs of waiting I started yelling Why I wasn't called. Apparently I wasn't on it???? Well I almost demanded a refund and walked out. Un acceptable service in my opinion.

1 year agoI bought this rifle in December....it would not chamber a bullet from the magazine. when I was sighting it in I had to hand feed every round into the chamber.....I contacted savage and they sent me a new magazine...... same results....I contacted savage again and they said to return it....I took the rifle to the local cabelas, where I purchased the rifle....cabelas took the rifle and said they would return it....after a week or so I contacted savage to see if they had received the rifle from cabelas... savage told me they had not and advised me to contact cabelas and obtain a tracking number.....I went to cabelas to do so....a pleasant young man told me that cabelas still had the rifle in the back...he told me they had not yet shipped my rifle because they did not have a box....YES, A FREAKING BOX!!!! I cannot imagine an excuse for incompetence and direlection that would be more lame....A BOX!!! if my rifle ever does get repaired and returned I will not buy another gun from cabelas

1 year agoWill not shoot accurate. Best 100 yard group is 2-3 inches. Have used Hornady 143 ELDX and 147 ELD Match ammo. Tried a Leupold Mark 4 scope and a Vortex 5x25 Strike Eagle and had the same result with both scopes. I have 7 other Savage rifles and all are half in group rifles. I have a Savage Axis that shoots 1/2 inch groups. Must be a lemon this time. Talked to Nick at Savage and am returning the 110 Tactical 6.5 PRC back to Savage to evaluate.

1 year agoThe rifle was everything I expected. Best of all was picking it up. After filling out the paperwork, Cabelas ran my background check and I was able to take the rifle home. It was the easiest gun purchase I have made in several years.
