1 year agoNew unfired since receipt on April 29. Upper firing pin snapped using dummy shells. Trigger pull force normal 6 lbs on one pull….insanely high 14 lbs on the other. Contacting Tristar I learned the on-line registration was not working….the rep did it for me. It was decided to replace firing pin and selector block. Neither part was correct for Trinity gun upon receipt. Second shipment was arbitrarily altered by fulfillment rep who decided the selector block was unnecessary….although shipment paperwork showed both parts. Second shipment of selector block was again not correct part. The third shipment was to have occurred after I and the Tristar gunsmith compared measurements to learn the parts bin is mismatched. After a week wait I called to learn the same fulfillment rep arbitrarily decided to ignore the warranty part shipment….no return contact to me. This resulted in my contacting upper management and I now have the correct selector block and can after 1.5 month ownership fire the gun for first time. Bottom line, Tristar arms might well be a good buy and good reliability, but the USA headquarters customer service is in need of major improvement.

1 year agoThe transaction of ordering my shotgun through pick up went very smooth. Jeff, the gun sales guy was polite, knowledgable and took all the time I needed to understand the paperwork, my gun and more.

1 year agoLove this O/U, sure theres better out there.. but at this price point its perfect for me. Elegant, smooth firing, decent balance, fiber optic sight. Replace the chokes with some ported carlsons and you have a real clay killer. Ive shot hundreds of clays 3 years and going.... I would prefer more of a raised rib on the sight plane, and the fit and finish looks great at first glance but deeper inspection reveals some tooling imperfections. Nothing a dremel polishing cant fix.... but thats being really nitpicky and at this price expected.

1 year agoFirst time shooting after 3 rounds the lower barrel would not fire The firing pin would hit the primer, but not enough to fire. Then at times the lower trigger would not reset to fire. Contacted Tristar, was told to send the gun back to Tristar at my expense ($120.00) to have them send it back repaired stating that they found debris in the trigger and they adjusted the firing pin. Next time shooting the same problem occurred within 2 shots. Contacted Tristar again and got yelled at by the rep for asking for them to cover shipping. They did send shipping label after i spoke to a manger. The rep said they test fired the gun and it work fine. I asked him what he next step is when it shows up again and doesnt work. He said to send it back. I asked to get this escalated because I don't have confidence in the gun, and he told me to sell it if don't want it! The gun is back at Tristar now. I will never by a Tristar product again. Save your money and by another brand! If it doesn't work when I get it back I hope Bass Pro will help me out.
