The Citori 725 takes all the advantages that have made the Citori a key player at every trap shoot in the world, and combined it with the low probile “one with the gun” feel of the 725 action. The Low-Profile steel receiver of the Citori 725 is a triumph of modern design without sacrificing traditional strength, keeping the full-hinge pin and tapered locking bolt design that makes a Citori superior to weaker trunnion designs. Invector-DS choke tubes are longer than traditional chokes, allowing for a consistent barrel taper at the muzzle. The double seal keeps fouling gasses out of the threads between the choke tube and the barrel. HiViz Pro-Comp fiber-optic front sight and ivory mid-bead sight for excellent target acquisition even in low-light conditions. Raised cheek rest, semi-beavertail forearm with finger grooves, gloss walnut, gold accented steel low profile receiver, ported barrels, HiViz Pro-Comp sight, Invector-DS chokes.

  • The silver nitride finish on the receiver is as tough as it is beautiful

Gun pulls up nice, palm swell is new to me but I think once I get use to it, it will be less fatigue for a long day at a trap tournament as it offers a grip that feels more relaxed as opposed to the standard, more slender designs. This obviously depends on hand size or just plain preference. Recoil is similar to my 425 sporting, possibly better because of a superior recoil pad on this 725, and the design of the forcing cones? The DS invector chokes are not going to back out on you, you will have to use the provided tube wrench to fully seat them even if you decide to get extended chokes with the nice grippy ends. The high rib is nice, solid, and beads are easily and highly visible. Ejectors are robust but intuitive( timing ) for those who like to “catch” their spent hulls to throw in their hull bag while on the trap field. I say robust because if you prefer to let the hulls fly over your shoulder they will in fact do just that. The look of the 725 trap is in my opinion, a thing of beauty, pics are nice but when you handle it in its walnut and metal flesh, you cannot help but appreciate the piece of art in your hands. As for performance?….I rate myself as just stepping into a true A class shooter, and I’m positive that when I miss a target with this gun, it is all me….it puts the shot where you point it, and will turn an orange clay disc into a puff of dust with an IM choke from the 16 yard line. Very nice trap gun.

Gun needs to come with extended chokes not flush chokes. Action is very tight but will loosen with use. Pretty nice wood and the fit and finish is ok. Shoots good tho.
