Precision rimfire rifle competitions have been gaining steam in the last few years and CZ rifles have been go-to equipment for the sport. Expanding on our premium offerings, the Varmint Precision Chassis pairs our heavy-barreled 457 action with an aluminum chassis of our own design. Equipped with an adjustable Luth-AR stock, an AR-style grip, QD sling sockets and plenty of M-LOK slots, proper fit and customization are easy to accomplish. If we were to pick one thing that our previous rimfire platforms were lacking, it was an American-style push-to-fire safety – something Hunter’s Education instructors and 4-H shooting coaches have begged us to incorporate for years. Though that was the most obvious change, we also took the opportunity to tweak a load of small things at the same time. In addition to the receiver-mounted, push-to-fire safety, we chopped almost an inch of length from the action and slab-sided it to reduce its footprint and weight. To make scope fitment easier, we ditched the 90 degree bolt rotation in favor of 60 degree, allowing for larger ocular bell diameters with lower ring heights. To top it all off, the 457 now features a trigger adjustable for weight, creep and over-travel. With the exact same swappable barrel system as the 455 and the same reliable polymer magazine system, the 457 is without a doubt the best rimfire platform we’ve ever fielded.

1 year agoEasily the best feeling .22lr I’ve ever felt. I have JM Marlin model 39s that shoot and feel good but nothing like this! The only bolt action .22lr bar none.

1 year agoI've bought four of them in five months. Two Scouts, one LUX and now a Synthetic. All in .22lr You won't find a better quality or more accurate rifle for the money.

1 year agothe trigger does not adjust well to the take up screw adjustment for trvel before the wall and the after break screw nor does feel to take up much if any over traval the pull weight screw does not give a good feel for LB difference

1 year agoI have 5 CZ 457s. For the money, they are the most accurate and reliable firearms . They are built like the Rock of Gibraltar and can be handed down from generation to generation; they are that good

1 year agoI’ve only used the website once, but the gun was promptly delivered. I’ve also only shot the gun at one tournament so far. It took just the first target to get in line and then it was off to the races! I hope I’m not getting ahead of myself, but really looking forward to shooting in the tournament tomorrow.

1 year agoBeautiful looking rifle. Nice fit and finish. Have not shot it yet so can’t comment on that. Bolt is a little stiff so hopefully it’ll move more smoothly after some use.

1 year agoExtremely accurate rifle. With ammunition testing you can expect to see well under 4/10 of inch groups at 50 yards.
