1 year agoI brought this rifle because I needed something with enough weight to be nice to shoot, and be portable for backpack hunting, and because of Tikka's reputation of being accurate. I was not dissapointed. It shoots factory ammunition Hornady Precision Hunter 178g ELD-X into 0.5-0.75MOA at 100 yards, as a hunter this serves my needs completely. The laminate qualities give it an advantage over wood for the weather, albeit I got the stock bedded for the wet conditions we encounter in NZ, for extra precaution as there are parts of our country that receive up to 8 meters of rain per year. It is topped off with a Leupold VX-5 3-15 and with a bit of practice for those longer shots I honestly don't think I will ever grow out of this setup. I've have yet to see a Tikka that didn't shoot well, when the shooter was doing their job right :)
