Uberti 1873 Single-Action Cattleman Hombre 45 (Long) Colt 4.75in Matte Black Revolver – 6 Rounds – In 1873, Colt’s single-action Army (SAA) revolver became the Army’s standard sidearm. Cavalry troopers were armed with the new revolvers. Lawmen and outlaws alike were quick to adopt the handy new 6-shooter which earned the nickname “Peacemaker.” The single-action Army was most widely produced with a color case-hardened frame and blued barrel. Meanwhile, a nickel-plated version was issued to Indian scouts. And a bright charcoal blue finish was available from the factory. But with years of use, the old 6-guns took on a well-handled soft gray patina. All of these classic finishes are available in the 1873 Cattleman.

1 year agoLooks and shoots well. Nice trigger and seems pretty accurate. Very light recoil with cowboy action ammo. Occasional misfire due to odd retracting firing pin not striking cartridge hard enough. Still quite fun to shoot. Other than that misfire issue, it would be 5 stars

1 year agoI have long wanted to replace a six-shooter that was stolen during a home robbery. I am a history buff and did some research as well as reading many reviews. The Cattleman Hombre had 92 excellent ratings which influenced my decision. I am very pleased with my purchase and recommend it to anyone looking for a single action revolver.

1 year agoPretty inexpensive. Bought this as a workhorse while afield cutting wood, haying, target shooting, and just in case. Turned out to be a great shooter and well balanced right out of the box. Decided she deserved a better set of grips and done some internal polishing to make her a little smoother. Doesn't feel heavy at all. Has a good feel but the hammer needs to be just a tad lower. She is fast becoming my favorite.
