Kimber Custom LW (Shadow Ghost) 1911

I was very surprised at how lite the Kimber Shadow Ghost is even with a fully loaded eight rd msg in it. The balance is great, the trigger is remarkably smooth. I just wish it came with two magazines instead of just one.

Great shooter. Eats all ball ammo i feed it. I did have 2 misfeeds when i was using JHP, but that was before the break in period. Now it shoots JHP like nothing. Manual states you have to shoot at least 400 to 500 rounds to break it in. This was true with JHP ammo, it shot ball ammo reliably out of the box. Love it

Shoots like a charm. Much lighter than my Colt Combat Commander. Got the Kimber leather holster to go with it. Like the sleet look also.

The Kimber Shadow Ghost is a great shooting handgun. I read a lot of reviews saying that they require a "break-in" period before they shoot reliably but mine shot great right out of the box(no jams). The weight and feel is great, trigger pull is nice. My only disappointment was that the picture used for advertising shows the frame to be an aluminum/silver color, which is what I wanted- it is actually a much darker color (nearly black) like the slide.

I dont know how this 1911 is so inexpensive cuz build quality and reliability is much better than my springfield was. Plus, its a beautiful sidearm

Gun is very nice. Picture is deceiving. Frame is so dark gray that it is almost black. I was hoping for more silver like the picture. Other than that, it’s great. Fit and finish are as good as expected from Kimber. Sights are good quality and easy to line up quickly. Trigger is smooth and gun isn’t even broken in yet. Would recommend Kimber for sure.

I've wanted to own a Kimber since the first time I held one. This one is a beauty. Outstanding fit and finish like you would expect from this maker of fine firearms.

I really like the looks of this gun. trigger is very crisp and it needed no break in to run flawlessly. The only thing I hate is the factory magazine. It doesn't eject smoothly and it doesn't want to seat smoothly on reloads; you really have to smack it hard to get it to seat. It feels like it gets stuck halfway in. This is an amazing 1911 for the price. You can expect that from Kimber. I've put 200 rounds down range with this firearm so far with 3 different brand ammo's. All rounds fired smoothly without any misfires or failures to eject. The recoil is surprisingly not bad. Another great Grabagun deal!

Great edc gun. The Custon lw is the way to go with kimbers. I’ve had none of the problems i hear about all the time so far.

Shied away from kimbers for a long time, but this one was a great price and it turned out to be a great shooter.

Great gun for the money. I’ve only shot one box of ammo through it but it cycled flawlessly, and the recoil was fine for a LW 1911 45. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the trigger pull and reset are not quite what I expected, but then again it was only $700 so

unfortunately I havent shot it yet but the craftsmanship is amazing, absolutely beautiful! its not as contrasting as the picture shows, the black and grey are very complementary to one another and I have not yet found a flaw and I've starred at it alot!!

wish there was a 4.5 star rating, reason I gave it a 5 is due to the superior customer service and warranty that comes with the Kimber name.
