The Sig Sauer P229 is essentially a smaller version of the legendary P226, and walks the line between a concealed carry piece and a service pistol. Since its introduction in 1989, the variations of P229 have been used by Law Enforcement Professionals, Militaries, and Government Agents including the U.S. Secret Service. Sig Sauer upgraded this renowned design to create the P226 Elite. This highly versatile pistol comes equipped with SIGLITE sights for accurate shooting in low light conditions, as well as a slimmer and highly ergonomic E2 grip for enhanced control and concealability. Other improvements include a short reset trigger and a sleek Nitron black finish.

1 year agoI gave it four stars previously, but I've bumped it up to five after having it a few years. It is reliable, accurate, and a very versatile pistol. Mine is chambered in .40S&W, .357 SIG and 9mm (via a Bar-Sto conversion barrel). The grips are for women and men with smaller hands (or extremely large hands with a lot of meat to compress around the grip). Both large and medium hands are probably better off with other options (e.g. Hogue G10's which are like the Legion's grips but better in my … Read More

1 year agoI've had this pistol for three years now. The grips were too small so I replaced them with the Hogue checkered G10's which I like better than the Legion version they make because, for my hands, my finger pad rests on the SIG medallion which has no traction. The ones from Hogue lack this give me more purchase (and I'm not into flashy things). I love the longer 1911-esque beavertail of this model as well. I think it looks better and is technically more forgiving of drawing with an imperfect … Read More

1 year agoThe gun is high quality, accurate out of the box with a very manageable soft recoil. I also find the overall dimensions of the gun quite pleasing, you can tell that a lot of r&d went into this firearm. It’s expensive but the high price tag is justified with the quality you get, no cheap materials, minimum plastic and superbly engineered. You would be hard pressed to find a better quality production gun out there. The only word of caution would be that it’s a tad big for CC. It’s more of a service gun size. Otherwise, great firearm, highly recommended.
