2 years agosorry but some guy said that he didn't like this ammo cause he shot at a deers 180yds away kneeling and he needed to shoot almost half the box after to finish it. wow what a shooter one good place bullet is all someone need and to know your reach, your maximum you can shoot at accurately. if it is out of your reach don't do it. really good ammo by the way, cheap and precise, can't go wrong for the $$$

2 years agoWith 150gr I am able to shoot sub MOA groups at 325 yards with this ammo in 7mm rem mag. I have found that they also fly very similar to the more expensive 160 trophy bonded tip due to their lower weight (higher muzzle velocity) combined with a lower BC. That is great because I can practice with the cheaper cartridges at various distances and I know when I go hunting Elk or Moose with the more expensive rounds I already know where they will hit.

2 years agoShooting 1" groups at 100yds out of my 270 ruger American. Consistently. Couldn't believe my eyes, my handloads only shoot 3/4" with that rifle. Tried Remington core lokt, Winchester super x, Hornady whitetail, best I could get was 1 1/2" - 2".

2 years agoAfter putting on my new scope and sighting in my Weatherby Mark V Accumark 7mm Rem Mag I shot the attached 6 round 100 yards group. Don't need to saw much more. 7/8 of an inch. Look out Mr. Moose.
Yes sir
1 year agoBought this ammunition not break in and zero a new 243 for my brother could not get a group less then 5" at 100 though it was the new rifle loaded up my little savage and received the same result I will not buy again for that caliber

1 year agoAmmo is not match quality, however having said that, it's very economical and in the past three years I've taken my bucks with a single shot at 234, 254 and 170 yards. It works well and has really decent stopping power. I'll continue to use this ammo for my hunting needs!

1 year agoI've been using this type of ammo for a while now. Its a great balance of quality and price. So far nothing but good things to say about it

1 year agoI have been using this ammo in my savage trophy predator .243. Best bang for the buck. Shot 5/8 group at 100 yards, 11/4 inch at 226 yards. 80 gr. Tried more expensive ammo with less than desirable results.

1 year agoNo bullet integrity, I shot a nice buck with my tikka T3 .308. 150 grains -shoulder impact , and the buck ran off. All I was able to find was a bone chip and 10 yards of light blood before disappearing. You had better hit em in the vitals with this ammo or you might find yourself cursing the day you decided to cheap out on bullets

1 year agoMy German made .308 absolutely loves this factory loading more than any other and I couldn't be happier because it's a budget round. The 150gr SP cartridges deliver 1/2 groups at 100 yards. I've only had hand loads match that. Your results may vary as every rifle is slightly different, but mine shoots these amazingly well. Worth a try for sure.

1 year agoMy Tika 3, 300 WSM is sighted for bullseye @ 200 yards ( 4-16 scope) with Federal Power-Shock 180 grain 300 WSM and after watching Steve Eckland shoot sheep at 565 yards i had to try that distance (550 yards for me) and i hit 1 inch above bullseye. The Federal Power-Shock carries very true.

1 year agoI bought these in 270WSM, basically only bought these for barrel break in. They performed OK. I experienced sporradic groupings, some were sub MOA at 100y, with other groups I experienced flyers and 2-3in groups with adequate cooling time on the barrel. One round out of 20 would not cycle properly, but that is also a known short magnum issue. Long story short; I would purchase again for target practice only, would not take them hunting.

1 year agoI have been shooting this ammunition for 5 years now out of my browning ab3 and it shoots through the same hole... taken down big whitetails with it at distances up to 200 yards out of my .243..... super cheap ammo... what else can ya ask for??

1 year agoI picked this up at my local store because it was all that was left before deer season. My season is over and I fired 6 shots - 5 to check my scope - and 1 to drop my first ever whitetail. It was close range within 30 yards with a .303 british 150 grain and managed to expand extremely well for a complete pass through. It was a double lung and heart shot, unfortunately there was barely any heart meat left that's how much damage it did to the vitals! Definitely would recommend this ammo for a well priced hunting round.

1 year agoFederal blue box is never a bad choice. It's fairly economical but properly manufactured ammo. No frills bo thrills just what you basically need.

1 year agoI took the .308 150-grain rounds to the range to get my Savage Axis XP zero'ed in, and I was getting 2-3-inch groups at a 100-yards. Although not the best performance, it was still pretty decent. I would buy these again.

1 year agoThe grouping is OK at 100yds with my .308 and .270 rifles but more important to me is that any big game animal I point it at doesn't move after I hit them with these rounds. Great value too

1 year agoCan't hold a 3" group at 100 yards and suffers from a complete failure to expand. Broadsided a buck at 50 yards nicking the heart and hitting the lungs and ended up tracking him for 24 hours after he took off. Found him still barely alive the next morning and had to finish him with a second shot to the head. When I gutted him I found that the bullet had completely failed to expand in any way, like he had been stabbed through and through with a tiny lightsaber. After suffering similar

1 year agoI was sighting in a 15 year old 30-06 bolt action rifle with a new scope and this ammo shot a half inch group at 50 yards, a 1.5 inch group at 100, and a 4 shot, 5 inch group at 400 yards. Hard to ask much more of factory ammo.

1 year agoTook out to range today and had the best grouping I could ask for. Tried it alongside the Scirroco because everyone talked it up, and got a better grouping with the federal. Now maybe it’s just because my 30-06 likes that round better, I do not know honestly but it felt good and I was impressed.
