2 years agoI bought two boxes of 500 rounds each! the first bos was good, the second box I have had nothing but trouble. 1 to 2 round out of a ten round magazine will not fire out of either my bolt action or semi-auto rifle!

2 years agoI was in need of an inexpensive, available rimfire ammo supply that would function in both a S&W Victory pistol and an S&W M&P AR-15-22 rifle. My use is Rimfire Challenge type of static steel competition. I generally shoot centerfire guns in SCSA so rimfire is a secondary activity for me. I tried a bunch of different rimfire ammos and settled on Federal Auto-Match. It works great in both guns, with over 3500 rounds maybe 3 ftf or stovepipes and all of those in the Victory. I did have to tinker with both guns before putting them in service to get reliable function but that is typical of semi-auto rimfire. No one rimfire ammo will make everyone happy. It's not Eley or other premium brand but it doesn't have an Eley price either. There are a lot of reasons that can cause guns to become dirty and some ammo under certain conditions might be clean in one firearms and dirty in another. To keep things consistent I clean my firearms after reach use regardless of the brand of ammo I use. I say this because I don't find Auto-Match to be any cleaner or dirtier than any other rimfire ammo but even if it was "dirty" by others standards I wouldn't complain because as mentioned I do at least a spot cleaning after every use. As far as accuracy is concerned it is better than my abilities. Full disclosure, when I try a new ammo I always first shoot from a bench and sight in my firearms to accommodate the ammunition. After that I shoot freestyle because I feel it isn't fair to make a judgment on accuracy unless the gun is sighted in properly. Again, with all of my rimfire semi-autos and the kind of shooting I do my hardware and ammo is way more accurate than my skills. Some of the guys I compete with love Federal Auto-Match, some don't like it. It works for me and for at least the immediate future, the upcoming 2019 season, I will use it in abundance.

1 year agoI suppose it's possible to get a bad box or two, never have. I used to be a total price driven buyer, until I used this ammo. This is now the only rimfire ammo I buy. I like to maintain somewhere around 5000 rounds. I used it in an old, really old, bolt action rifle and have never had any issue, produced very tight groups. Use it in a S&W 15-22 with red dot scope, I'm guessing 5000+ rounds, I just can't recall any problems at all. Last time to the range my 8 year old grandson put over 500 round through it with no issues at all. The only issue I have ever had is with a Ruger SR22 I bought. Second mag, second round, FTE. 2000-3000 rounds later, no other issues. I don't find it dirty, it shoots, ejects & feeds perfectly for me in all my guns.

1 year agoI ran this bulk box through my M&P 15/22 I had no frailer to fire, feed or eject and is very accurate, this stuff ran flawless.

1 year agoFederal Automatch .22 Long Rifle is as consistent as Federal Silver 710 and nearly as consistent and accurate as Federal Gold 719. Very consistent velocity at 1260 FPS. Very low failure to Fire rate less than 1%. Very low Failure to Eject less than 1.5%. Highly recommend.

1 year agoI only buy Federal Ammunition because I trust the brand and it is very rare when I have any issues with their rounds.

1 year agoBought this to feed some semi auto 22lrs and while not "Match" grade was more accurate that many bulk packs we've shot. Feed and functioned plus so far no duds.

1 year agoI have always had good luck with Federal Ammo. This is always the best way to buy in bulk. Never a disappointment with American Made Federal.

1 year agoThe bulk ammo is fairly priced. These are very good 22lr. It worked well on my GSG1911/sig1911. It also worked on the tx22 taurus. I will buy again especially with free shipping.

1 year agoIt’s over priced! After ordering it I happen to go to a Walmart and they had the same ammo for ten dollars cheaper! I will not be ordering ammo for bass pro again!

1 year agoMuzzle velocity of 1200 f/s is ideal for backyard target shooting. With my CZ455 and its 28 inch barrel, the report is quiet enough not to disturb neighbors. Seems to be very acc;urate and is very clean, leaving no residue in the gun. Lead round nose bullet is ideal for small pests such as moles and rats. leavs a small hole instead of blowing them apart as hollow points do. It's my 'go-to' round.

1 year agoI have used it in the past and if it'sit is the same I know I wll be happy with it. It runs great in all my 22's

1 year agoWorked flawlessly out of an HK 22 rifle. Grouping at 50 yards was not wild. Would recommend for target practice or small game hunting.

1 year agohaven't found a rifle or pistol that doesn't like this ammo would be a five but only draw back cheaper locally even with the sale

1 year agoBought a couple boxes when on sale. First 50 or so rounds had 6 rounds that the bullet would dislodge from the case and jam, issue was consistent across multiple firearms.

1 year ago1 out of every 100 cartridges jam in my Ruger 10/22 Carbine. Not bad considering the price, and they group really well.

1 year agoGood range ammo. Used by my wife in M&P .22 for practice. Shot aprox 200 rounds out of the box, so far only one round did not go bang.

1 year agoI bought mine a year ago and just recently opened a box. Used it for target shooting from 2 different target pistols and though the course of about 60 rounds had 3 duds. Primer strikes were good but no bang. 1 dud in 20 in this batch is not good match ammo.

1 year agoI fired 50 rounds and had 8 misfires. By comparison I fired 500 rounds of Winchester with 0 misfires .
