Saw some negative posts when the G44 first came out, but it ends up most were not loading the mags properly. I love this firearm. About 2,500 rounds through mine with not one misfire. Keep it clean and slightly lubed, and use clean ammo for the first few hundred shots (like CCI Mini Mags) to break it in, and you won’t have issues. Enjoy.

Very pleased. An owner of one of these I met at Cabela's warned me that she first bought some low grain 22lr ammo and all of them failed to eject. She couldn't remember the grain, velocity or brand since she gave away all thousand rounds. She tried a 40 grain and they worked great so she stuck with only 40 grain from then on. So this worried me since I already had a few thousand rounds of Federal 36 grain champion copper plated hollow points (spoiler alert: they work flawlessly in my Glock 44). So I started break in with 40 grain Herter's plated round nose, Aguila 40 grain high velocity solid point, CCI Blazer 40 grain and finally Winchester Wildcat 40 grain unplated. All went great until I got to the final one, the Winchester Wildcats where I had 20% failure to eject. Then I tried CCI 36 grain MiniMag and the aforementioned Federal 36 grain champion and both cycled great. So the story might be less about the grain but more about the quality or powder load.

You have to load the magazine a special way or these guns are absolute masters of malfunctioning. Fail to eject. Fail to feed. Fail to fire. Fail to go into battery. Fail to extract. For less money the Taurus TX series is easily 50x the gun the Glock rim fire disaster is. The Taurus feeds even cheap gooey ammo reliable and from a double stack magazine too! The Glock cannot even reliably feed good ammo from a single stack mag. Then before I had even left the store's indoor range one of the Glock magazines broke! That was the straw that broke the camel's back. I gave the store an ultimatum. Give me my money back and return this turkey back to Glock or I am contesting the purchase on my credit card. PICK ONE, and yes, in store credit is fine! Even when you do load the magazine perfectly put the gun in a holster move around a little and it's ready to malfunction again. A friend tried to show me how I didn't know how to use the G44. I showed him that from a practical stance the G44 is basically worthless junk. Glock did NOTHING new for any of their center fire handguns, except for using a plastic frame. The half cock striker fire is from a Roth Steyr. The extractor is classic Walther P or PP. The feed action is the classic Browning linkless tilting barrel. Gaston hired engineers who knew firearms. There is NOTHING NEW INSIDE ANY GLOCK! It's all old time proven mechanisms. Then Glock decides to attempt a rim fire gun? WOW! Instead of copying Colt, Ruger, Walther, Browning, etc. maybe they should have bought a Taurus and checked that one out instead.

Wife's first gun, we both love it. Size is perfect, and (I can't stress this next point enough) it's *very* lightweight. Follow Glock's instructions (i.e., clean it before its first firing, and load the magazines as explained in the manual) and it's perfectly reliable. Trigger is a little gritty out of the box, but breaks in just fine after a couple hundred rounds. There's no better gun for bringing new people into our sport (my wife wants to go to the range just about every other day), yet it's also just plain fun to shoot if you're more experienced but can't stomach current ammo prices. Personally I'm partial to S&W M&P's for other pistols, but Glock really hit a home run with this one.

I love this 22 pistol. The main reason for purchase was for the wife and daughter to try shooting without the recoil from a 9mm, which may turn them off. I cleaned and lightly oiled the gun prior to firing its first shot. And loaded the rounds in the magazine (which is quite easy) making sure that that 10th round is not nose diving. Then had some fun with the family. It ran perfect, every round went boom and ejected without a hitch. I ran Armscor 38gr and Win X 40gr, both over 1200 velocity, 150 rounds each type. It’s a light gun, but fills the hand and not much recoil, even for a 22. Some may complain about only having a 10 round capacity, I can’t comment on that because that’s all my state allows. I love it and recommend.

I bought this recently from Cabela's and couldn't wait to get it to the range. I found it to be very light, compared to other 22's, and quite accurate. I didn't experience any mis fires when using the factory magazines but did with the extended ProMag's (all 4 of them). The biggest complaint I have with this pistol is the trigger. Videos say it's around 6.5 lbs pull which I find a bit much, and then there is the trigger safety... UGH! The safety doesn't pull flush with the trigger when firing. I found it increasingly uncomfortable as I worked through a few mags. After a few hundred rounds it is affecting my comfort and accuracy. I am looking into a trigger replacement that will reduce the pull and increase comfort. Hopes this helps! Happy shooting!

We own a number of Glock handguns, and this is the same quality as all the rest - which is to say excellent. I've put about a thousand rounds through this weapon so far with zero malfunctions. Doesn't jam, always ejects. Mechanically this weapon is very, very similar to other Glock models, so no learning curve for cleaning and maintenance. Very similar feel, but lighter and suited to smaller hands. Great weapon for putting a lot of rounds down range without spending a million dollars, and it's great prep for handling other Glock models in terms of feel. Solid buy at this price.

Bought yesterday and ran 500 rds with 1 jam. Great buy, I'm glad I got it as a training pistol. The mags are similar size to standard mags

aside from the weight, it feels like the 19 and operates the same. The advantage is 22 cal ammo is much less expensive. Which means to me more practice time. As I said the weigh difference has to be considered. I usually fire both when I go to the range.

Great trainer for my G19. Looks like they fixed all the early issues. 500 rounds so far and issues. Like the rear adjustable sights.

I STARTED READING REVIEWS AFTER I ORDERED THIS FIREARM AND DEVELOPED BUYERS REMORSE WHILE WAITING FOR IT TO COME IN, HOWEVER I TOOK THRE ADVISE OF THOSE REVIEWS THAT FOUND IT FAVORABLE AND THE FIRST 100 ROUNDS OF CCI 40 GRAIN MINI MAGS FUNCTIONED FLAWLESSLY.
WHEN YOU FIRST GET THIS HANDGUN, CLEAN IT AND LUBE IT AS SHOWN IN MANUAL, RUN CCI MINI MAG ROUND NOSE FOR THE BREAK IN PERIOD AND IT SHOULD BE FINE. IT IS NOT A BULLSEYE COMPETTION HANDGUN, BUT IS CAPABLE OF FDECENT PLINKING ACCURACY. SOME COMPALIN ABOUT THE 10 RD CAPACITY, BUT MOST .22 AUTO HANDGUNS ARE 10 RD., SO THIS IS NOT AN ISSUE FOR ME, BUY EXTRA MAGAZINES, DUE TO THE RIM ON .22 LR HIGHER CAPACITY MAGAZINES HAVE TENDANCY TO HAVE FEED ISSUES.
DUE TO GOOD PERFORMANCE ON THE FIRST RANGE TRIP, I AM PLEASED WITH THIS FIREARM.

SO FAR I HAVE FIRED THREE HUNDRED ROUNDS OF CCI MINI MAG 0030 RN AMMO THRU THE GLOCK 44 WITHOUT ANY MALFUNCTIONS,
I HAVE NOT TRIED ANY OTHER BRAND OF AMMO YET, ACCURACY IS ACCEPTABLE, BUT IT IS NOT A TARGET FIREARM.
SO FAR I HAVE BEEN SATISFIED WITH THE GLOCK 44, BUT WILL FEEL BETTER AFTER IT IS BEEN SUCCESSFULLY FIELD TESTED WITH OTHER RIMFIRE AMMO.
I AM GOING TO FIRE A TOTAL OF 500 ROUNDS OF THE CCI MINI MAG AS "BREAK-IN" PERIOD BEFORE USING OTHER AMMO

Put 700 rounds through it this week. Only one failure to chamber a round with cheap bulk ammo. I fired rapidly many times and no stove piping or misfires! The cci mini mags seem to work best. Cheap to shoot. Fits the g19 holsters I have. Shoots very nice and well worth it!

Picked up this pistol yesterday, ran 300 rds through it today with no issues , no feed issues or ejection issues. Shot blazer bulk , federal bulk and cci and it ate through everything great. This has to be the most fun budget .22 on the market.

I bought the G44 in December 2022 at Cabela's in Woodbury, MN. I cleaned the gun before using it and have fired 650 rounds through it without any malfunctions. The following brands of ammo found at Cabela’s performed satisfactorily (accurate, no jams). Aguila Super Extra 40gr PRN 1,255 FPS (x100), Blazer 40gr LRN 1,235 FPS (x100), CCI Mini-Mag 40gr PRN 1,235 FPS (x100), Herter’s 40gr PRN 1300 FPS (x200), Herter’s 40gr PHP 1280 FPS (x100), and Aguila Super Extra 38gr PHP 1,280 FPS (x 50). The gun is light-weight, fun to shoot and accurate. Love the fact that the ammo is cheap.
Be safe!

Great gun to introduce new shooters to semi autos! Feels like a Glock 19 minus the recoil. Add the low cost per round to shoot and it makes for a great day of plinking!

Failure to feed problems. With 40 rounds of Remington ammo, I had 5 failures to feed. Two of the rounds that failed to feed looked like the tip had been chiseled off. (See pictures).
