2 years agoThought about buying this gun for 5 years and finally said the clock is ticking fast so I bought it.

1 year agoJust got my hands on the Henry Golden Boy 22lr and so far she’s run “smooth as butter” like many of the youtubers have described it. Tube feed was new to me but being able to shoot 16 rounds I can’t complain. The buck horn sights are pretty accurate at a 50 yard distance. Also very aesthetically pleasing.

1 year agoI bought the Henry Golden Boy a few weeks ago. I was immediately impressed with its fit and finish. The action was also remarkably smooth and really enjoyed using it on the range. This is a great heirloom rifle - fun to shoot with a touch of nostalgia.. I recommend it.

1 year agoI’ve had my Golden Boy for about a year now. I’ve only put 2 or 3 hundred rounds through it. I’ve shot Good ammo and bad. With cheap ammo, I’m had some misfires. With good ammo, I’ve had zero issues. I’ve put about 100 rounds of Shorts through it. I love how quiet the Short rounds are compared to Long Rifles. It feeds borne size rounds with zero issues. I’d love to say it is wonderfully accurate but I’m just not that food of a shot. Using it, I can consistently hit a 3” grouping at 15 yards off hand. I suspect I’d be able to put a few rounds into you if you decided to break into my house. Besides just going to the dance to shoot, that is all I expect out of it. Bottom line. I love shooting it and it’s a beautiful little rifle. No

1 year agoI absolutely love this rifle! Extremely accurate. Best fit and finish you can get for the money! The feel of the old west in a .22lr that hits the mark everytime!

1 year agoUnable to purchase or order this rifle in. Been trying to for some months. Even contacted Henry respecting arms

1 year agoFit and finish is great. The lever action is smooth but I did replace the standard lever for the loop version. I purchased the picatinni rail and added a Burris Droptine Scope made for a rimfire firearm. I do wish that Henry would make a filler section so when the rear sight is removed that dovetail section is filled in.

1 year agoThis rifle is a work of art. Looks so good you don't want to shoot it .I have a Winchester 94 and the action on it does not even come close to this Henry. They are costly but you get what you pay for. Fast and easy service from Cabelas. If you are thinking of getting one don't wait. You won't be sorry.

1 year agoAsked about this rifle at our Bass Pro shop...they didn't have one on hand but the guy assured me it was the same as the standard H001 .22 Henry that he handed to me, "except for the shiny brass appearance." Luckily I saw that for the careless fictional guesswork it was, and didn't believe it, and told him so...and I ordered one anyway. That other rifle he'd handed me was just a skinny little 5-pound round-barrelled toy...a toothpick of a rifle...more like a youngster's gun. The Golden Boy, by contrast, has an appropriately serious feel. It's classy, yes...but solid, substantial, almost massive compared to the little cheap one. Feels like it's got muscle -- like a real rifle. The octagonal barrel in particular is an impressive thing of Old West beauty, and the walnut stock and general planform are 'serious rifle' all the way. When shouldered this rifle balances like a larger-caliber rifle -- almost like my .30-06 Browning BLR -- and it's a closer sibling to the Henry .45 Long Colt rifles than to the .22 models. It feels like a rifle you can take out on horseback and trust to do its job -- not "plinking," but real hunting. And with higher velocity .22LR rounds this thing could do a bigger job than a .22 is thought to be made for...yet the cost per round at the range is still practically zero. Henry made a fine rifle with this Golden Boy. I've not had a chance to get mine to the range yet, but I can't wait -- initial inspection report is big-grin & all-thumbs-up. As long as it lives up to its accuracy reputation (which is stellar, especially shooting offhand), I can't think of a .22LR rifle I'd want to own more, and that includes many other big names. This lever action slice of the Great American West is the one I'll use the most and I suspect love the most.

1 year agoA great 22. Accurate right out of the box. Smooth action. A great option to use as a trainer for lever guns.

1 year agoThis little rifle looks and shoots great! Everything was perfect coming out of the box and shooting it the first time was awesome. The only thing I would change is the safe system. It takes a little getting used to. Love the gun!

1 year agoThis is my first rifle and I enjoy it immensely. I went back the following week and purchased the American Beauty version. Both rifles worked flawlessly right out of the box. Lots of fun to shoot. I also own several revolvers and 1911’s so I’m not new to firearms.
