With synthetic stocks and two variants to choose from, the 1012 synthetic can be had in matte black or a camo finish. The latest evolution in our semi-automatic shotgun line, the 1012 uses a gas-less inertia operating system. Instead of redirecting gas from the barrel to run the action, the 1012 uses a spring within the bolt to store energy during the shotgun’s recoil, spending this energy a split second later to rotate and unlock the twin lugs from the barrel extension and withdraw the spent shell. The major advantage of an inertia system is the less stringent maintenance schedule. Unlike gas guns that need periodic cleaning of the piston and magazine tube, the 1012’s needs are vastly fewer. During our testing, we pushed 1012s to 5000 rounds without a drop of oil or cleaning of any sort, while experiencing zero parts breakage or malfunctions. In normal field use, the occasional cleaning and oiling should be more than enough. Additionally, the gas-less system itself is tuned to run a wider variety of shells from light-recoiling target loads up to the smoking hot 3 inches magnums currently on the market.

1 year agoBought this, took home cleaned it, then shot 2-3/4” at an all morning sporting clay shoot. Zero malfunctions. Shot great very happy. minor downsides - chokes seem slightly cheap (but for the price and to get 5 extended chokes it’s to be expected) - the blueing under the forearm came off too much from just normal cleaning. - very hard to get it apart. I assume this will get better with age. In order to get the barrel out you need to cycle the bolt to push it out.

1 year agoThe gun looks and shoots great. The only problem which they do not disclose is that nobody makes aftermarket chokes for Turkey as of right now. Jebs chokes may be working on a choke along with Carlson.

1 year agoI was re im by the packa of this gun. After shout it i found it cycled anything i had from what i use to duck Hunt wIth to low brass bird shoOt. If i would have any dings on this gun i would be change the front beed to somthing besides white, but It still geTs a 5 star rating

1 year agoCan’t go wrong with cz and sportsman’s. The 1012 mounts well and feels great swinging it. Quality is great and machined to perfection. I already have the bob white sxs and very happy with both.

1 year agoCycled the 2-3/4 light target loads right out of the box. Cheaper shotgun would not out of the same box of shells.
