Savage Impulse Big Game Bolt-Action Rifle – .243 Winchester

Rifle did not cycle/feed properly out of the box. Would either depress the rounds into the magazine, or would miss the rim of the case, push on the case bevel, and jam the next round against the bolt. Would sometimes jam properly fed rounds against the chamber ceiling. Not a short stroking or magazine seating issue. Thought it could have been a weak magazine spring, Savage rushed a new one to me which was very nice, but ended up having the same issues. Would love to give 5 stars, rifle was great otherwise, but I needed a fast cycling bolt gun and it just didn't work as advertised. On it's way back to Savage to be inspected now. If all goes well, I'll updated this in the future.

Bought this rifle in 6.5 CR haven't shoot it yet seams like a very solid gun the reason i got it was the straight pul action i always wanted one and this rifle was in my budget. However the only thing i don't like is how heavy this rife is. I paired it with Eliminator IV but even before the scope this gun is heavy so if you buying it for stalking hiking hunt better make sure you are in good shape :) I took one star for the weight
