I have an earlier Henry HO10 that has Ghost Ring sights. The caliber is just what one wants if you're looking to stop whatever it is that needs stopped now. There's really no recoil due to the brilliant way that Henry has dealt with it. The action cycles like it was polished chrome. The safety is a very well thought thru and engineered transfer bar system, and very safe. The caliber and cartridge has taken the big 5, and is a good choice for a guide gun. The low velocity is reputed to cause very

Amazing consistency when using Federal Ammunition, also the brass glow makes you stand out when at the range.

Perfect, Exactly what I wanted. Feels good, well balanced and a good fit...Does pack a pretty good wallop, but what do you expect of a rifle like this. Wish I had gotten this back when I rode horses, perfect brush hunting gun..

The rifle looks and feels great, as of this writing I have been unable to take to the range and fire. Rifle looks and feels well made.

I got it for protection if the size of the hole at end of barrel doesn't scare them then the hole in there body that let's the lite shine thru will.

The thing is beautiful for sure. I was excited to purchase it, but even happier to have it in hand. The action is smooth, and the main reason for purchasing it.

Love the finish and the BANG this thing has. If you're wanting to see a moose roll 3 times from 1 shot this is your choice!!!

The quality of the rifle is spot on. Beautiful wood and clean lines. I've fired both Winchester and Federal 300gr rounds, as well as Remington 405gr without any issues. Optics on a lever action isnt my thing. However, out of the box, I was popping soda cans at 100ish yards. Living in the PNW, this will be my rifle to carry anytime I trek into the forest.

Excellent carbine rifle that has a great feel. It's pretty light weight, so for prolonged target shooting, you would probably want to get the reduced velocity loads. I also have the same model chambered in 45 Colt, which you can shoot all day with standard grade ammo.

Fit and finish are nice, and the rifle is everything i expected from a Henry. the balance and shoulder feel is comfortable. i am still playing with accuracy. i have run Cowboy action loads, Hornady 325 ftx, and Grizzly +p 455 hardcast through with no problems.

The rifle is fantastic, could not have asked for more. I wanted an original Henry rifle and that is what I got, not some foreign knock off. I bought two, and the attention to detail on both of the rifles is excellent. Thank you Henry rifle, keep up the good work!

Great rifle!! I had to give back a Marlin 45/70 that I was using, and was truly bummed out. Went to my local Sportsman’s Warehouse and within an hour walked out with this beauty! I had to buy ammo online so I couldn’t shoot for a few days, but it was better than I had hoped! Smooth action and extremely accurate. We were nailing quarter sized groups in the bullseye at 75 yards with ease! I have no doubt this rifle could (with a scope) hit tight groups at 150 yards or more. 500 rounds went through like nothing and cleaned up like new.

This was a bucket list item and I am extremely pleased with both the rifle and Sportsman's Warehouse! The rifle is just a beautiful piece to own and once I install all of the accesories I've purchased for it, it will also be one of the easiest members of my safe to have personalized and truly made "mine"! I even got the rifle 10 days earlier than the original estimate so there is absolutely nothing about the purchase process that I didn't like! WELL DONE!!!

Along with being a beautiful rifle, it is a great shooter. I am very pleased how smooth the action is on this rifle. I have several friends considering on getting them one. It is everything you'd expect from a rifle built in the USA!!!

I purchased this Henry 45/70 for my son , who is to retire from his Gov. job next month. I wanted him to have the very best gun in America. He served his time in Military and for his job. Now he can go hunt the big game like the dream he has, I just helped by giving him a piece of America to hold in his arms. Nobody can beat Henry. One of the best...Read More Read more about review stating Big Henry ther 45th

The Henry rifle itself is fantastic. It's everything I could ask for. My rifle was processed within a good time frame and shipping, handling and insurance were reasonable. The disappointing part is the cost of the rifle was above the MSRP of $1130 ($1271). The local stores however, couldn't get one but they sell them for $970 - 1099. I guess if yo...Read More Read more about review stating The Henry rifle itself is
