1 year agoI bought this shotgun last week and have only hunted with it twice, but I have some comments already. First, I love the Obsession pattern and overall make of the gun, but the finish is obviously not high quality, and it already has an obvious scratch or two on the stock. It is extremely lightweight, which is great for the run-and-gun style I enjoy, but the recoil is merciless on your shoulder if you have to shoot it more than a couple of times. 1 year agoJust as I expected, this versatile and reliable Mossberg 500 model will work for Turkey as is. I’ve added Carlson chokes for slugs, buckshot, sporting clays / upland game in thick woods. Also added a Picatinny base for a low powered scope with quick detach rings for Turkey and Deer. It’s also the right length for a fast handling defensive weapon. When available I’ll be adding a 28” multi choke barrel for field and waterfowl hunting. For anyone looking for a versatile 12 gauge shotgun, I believe there is no better value in a USA made shotgun.

1 year agoI have owned a number of Mossberg shotguns. They have always been of good quality for their price point. This Mossberg 500 Turkey is nicely camoed and fast to shoulder. Should be a turkey slayer.
