Rock Island GI Standard FS 45 ACP 8 Round Pistol, Parkerized – 51421MA
The M 1911 GI standard is a great representation of the original US GI combat issue 1911 and is chambered in 45 ACP and built with our exacting engineering standards. Fixed, low profile sights and traditional smooth slim design are perfect for quick pull holster use. A durable parkerized finish gives it a tough, smooth, non-reflective surface. Smooth wood grips offer comfort in both feel and design. The 5 inches barrel offers a balanced weight to assist with the accuracy and recoil that made the original 1911 design famous. True to all Rock Island 1911s, the GI Standard comes with a crisp factory 4 to 6 lb trigger for a great experience right out of the box.

1 year agoExcellent basic 1911, it is series 70, I like better than an 80. it will eat any ammunition you feed it! good back-up bear pistol...For the price you cannot beat it and the warranty is a lot better than some of the big brand expensive pistols, that I will wager this one here will outlast most 1911's on the market...

1 year agoFirst trip to the range did not disappoint. It handled like a dream with no issues whatsoever. For a large caliber it wad Way better than I expected - much more controlable and quicker back on target than my LCPII that I shot right after. I am a 1911 .45 fan for life!

1 year agoOverall cant be beat for the $. The only reason i gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is because it SCRATCHES pretty easy. But because grab a gun iffers it for such short $ i dont care, its a range gun not a show gun and it runs great. TIGHTEN it up a bit with some wilson combat springs and swap out the grips depending on how i feel. Its a home run for SOMEONEs first 1911, gi accurate for sure. Grab some extra mags cause it only comes with one

1 year agoHad 2 or 3 RIA's 1911's over the year's. They will shoot just as good as a Gold Cup with the right ammo, There hard to beat for the price.

1 year agoWell, after about a year and a half, I finally took my RIA GI Standard FS to the range. I put 100 rounds of bulk ammo down range with zero issues. Sure the sights are basic, the grips were plain and were replaced, but I was pleasantly surprised of the accuracy of this gun. I was figuring that a sub $400 gun would not be very accurate, but from the very first shot it was dead on. Sure this isn’t a competition gun, but for a basic 1911 45 ACP I give it 2 thumbs up!
