Cadex Defense’s CDX-R7 CRBN Series of rifles were designed with backcountry hunters in mind, and comes fully equipped with Cadex exclusive features. The CDX-R7 CRBN is outfitted with a carbon fiber wrapped barrel made by Proof Research – a company widely regarded as an industry leader in carbon fiber barrel technology. The main goal of the CDX-R7 CRBN’s development was to create a rifle that balances weight reduction without compromising stability, unlike the majority of other manufacturers that focus on using the lightest materials available. Other features of the CDX-R7 CRBN include a top rail with a unique localized system that utilizes an integrated recoil groove machined directly into the action’s upper section. The CDX-R7 CRBN also includes a DX2 Evo single/two stage selectable trigger, allowing the user to rapidly convert the trigger for either a single stage or two stage pull, with pull weight adjustable between 1.5 to 2.5 lbs. The trigger guard and magazine release have been enlarged for easy operation while wearing gloves, and hunting-style muzzle brake in included to greatly mitigate recoil and muzzle jump. In addition, a rubberized grip insert provides a solid hold on the rifle, and a neoprene cheek pad accommodates comfortable shooting.
