For 2019 Century Arms introduces its newest heavy duty AK rifle, the VSKA (vis-kuh). Re-engineered with critical components using machined S7 tool steel, a material so highly regarded for it’s ability to withstand heavy duty action that it’s used in excavator teeth and jackhammer tips! The VSKA rifle features an all new bolt carrier, front trunnion, and feed ramp machined from S7 tool steel and specially heat treated for maximum durability. S7, often referred to as a shock-resisting tool steel, is commonly used for tools like chisels and jackhammer tips as it has maximum shock resistance and high compression strength, while retaining toughness. The front trunnion and bolt are machined from billet and exceeded the durability goals for the project. Additionally, the VSKA features a carburized 4140 steel bolt, a chrome-moly 4150 barrel, and sports the RAK-1 enhanced trigger group for an impressive trigger pull. Along with a manganese-phosphate finish, Century adds a little style to this rugged firearm with an American Maple wood buttstock and forend. No matter the sporting need, the Century Arms VSKA is built for it.

Features:

  • Heat-treated S7 steel carrier, feed ramp, front trunnion
  • 1/16 inches stamped steel receiver
  • Wood stock and foregrips made of American maple
  • Rifle ships with (1) 30 round standard capacity magazine
  • Carburized 4140 steel bolt

Did purchase this one even after a lot of negative reviews on it and still give a shot and you know what! I’m not disappointed. It performs flawlessly, shots 1000 rounds on it and it never fails.

Awesome rifle- didn't feel like buying a 40yr old gun and hope it functions properly. Forget any quality issues you may have seen around other Century AKs, this VSKA is solid and ran 300 rds on it's first outing with no wear on the bolt or trunion. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Great rifle for the money. Fit and finish are definitely there. If you’re on the fence with this AK, don’t be afraid to pull the trigger. (Pun intended)

I have a VSKA and it been a great one - never had a jam or misfire :] I bought it because it had a lifetime warranty to original owner. LOVE IT ! now when they do lifetime to any owner (like ruger and henry) they are really saying your going to buy our rifles!

I'm not one to spend a thousand on a gun, I'm not a match shooter just a plinker and might hunt and might be used for defense use but I'm happy with what I received. Warranty for rest of my life and price made me a happy customer.

It does what it supposed to do with no problems. It's only lacking the wood quality of other makes. To be fair, I didn't buy it to be the prettiest rifle in the case.

GREAT SELF DEFENSE WEAPON AND RANGE WEAPON. CYCLES ANY AMMO....BUT MAKE SURE YOU CLEAN IT AFTER USING ALOT OF WOLF AMMO. THE ONLY THING I WOULD CHANGE ABOUT THE RIFLE IS THE REAR STOCK, ITS TOO SHORT. COULD USE ANOTHER 2" IN LENGTH ON THE WOOD STOCK.

Like the accuracy of the iron sites. Shot a few hundred rounds, no jams. Foregrip wood gets hot after rapid firing. Has a bit of recoil, so will change out the muzzle brake. May also get a wider hand grip.

I was choosing beTween this and an AR-15 im glaD i went With the ak-47 it tUrns heads at the ranGe its accurate and its loud! The only thing i will warn you about is after 150 rounds or so the gas GUards get hot and it gets Really dirty its a mess to clean but i am happy with it.

Great GUN no issues. I checked headspace with "GO" and "NO-GO" gauges, neither gauge will go in fully which could be a good or bad thing. Either way it SHOOTS and cycles without ISSUE.

I was always told my gun collection can't be complete till you have an ak-47. After shooting this gun I'm mad I didn't buy one sooner. This thing is a blast to shoot. Very low recoil, not heavy at all. I suggest the 75 round drum mags to keep the pleasure going longer. I give it a 11 out of 10 stars. Get one now.

Super fun to shoot. Just barely got a chance to take it to the ranch today and fire about half a mag. I could have shott all day but don't wanna get too wasteful with the ammo. Only issue was that the gun came to me super dirty. Should be OK after a cleaning, but just something to note.

In my opinion, someone designed this rifle w/o knowing what shooters want. 3 major complaints. 1) No place for a sling.. 2) Bolt doesn't lock in place on empty mag. 3) Very difficult to lock bolt back with lever. I did not fire this weapon. I considered the design and decided it wasn't for me..

I am not a fan of the AK platform, some of it is because of what Albert says. Having said that, the AK platforms that are manufactured OUTSIDE Russia and China are pretty good. RU and CH variants are incredibly inaccurate, many problems, thus my distaste as they are what i came into contact with for most of my 35 years in the Army. BUT, western pr...Read More Read more about review stating AK47 Platforms

Gun runs like a champ. Cheapest quality AK out there. Basic stock however is awful. Not sure why but that’s a definite issue. Bought mine as a backup ak for shtf, so 300 rounds through it no wear or assembly issues.

I purchased a VSKA TRP in 2020 when everything was scarce and pricey. $1k at the time. It came with horrible plastic furniture and yes, no sling mounts either. That being acknowledged, however, it is a very nice shooter and the best quality ever from Century Arms that I have seen. I upgraded to suit my needs and now it's a beast. The best feature ...Read More Read more about review stating This is a good deal

Also, to Albert's bolt hold open complaint, that will only work if you are using mags with BHO followers installed. Most mags don't have but you can find them online.
