Very happy with this revolver. Trigger is better than expected. Fit and finish are very good. Overall quality appears good. If you are like me it is a hard choice between this and the Ruger. I went this route because I prefer the S&W cylinder release and wanted moon clip option. Front sight is easy to loose when aiming in low light conditions.

I've been 'on the fence' for years about buying a j-frame. The price was very good on this one so I bought it and I'm glad I did. For all the talk about the 'stout' factory j-frame trigger pull, this one seems great out of the box. It stages smoothly, and the trigger breaks clean. I am very happy with this revolver. The moon clips should make range time much easier.

Love this little pistol! Dry fired 1000 times with snap caps, everyone in the family helped. Trigger smoothed out nicely. Confident carrying this along with a couple extra moon clips.

Nice revolver. Decent price. Not a big revolver fan but will make a good training, back up or truck gun. Moon clips are a huge positive for me. Don't think I would own one that was not able to use them. Trigger is not bad. Added a hogue grip which helps with recoil and larger hands. Happy with purchase.

Very nice revolver. A smith and wesson J frame is a must have for any gun owner. You cant even tell its in your pocket when carrying. I added a hogue grip and have an apex tactical duty/carry spring kit in the way. This gun is DAO, and the trigger pull is somewhat stiff. The spring kit takes about 3 pounds off of the pull bringing it down to around 9pounds.

Have also is standard form; the extra cost is obvious in smooth trigger pull. Just a nice revolver to slip into a pocket when that type of cover is needed.

Best j frame aluminum option. No Internal lOck, cut for optional use of moon clips, and smoothed action.

First revolver I've ever had and I couldn't be happier! It is exactly what I needed and Grabagun always comes through with the hard to find guns I want to add to my collection. No lock and cut for moon clips. I recommend them to everyone I know looking for any type of firearm they can't find.

This is an excellent revolver. It is lightweight and reasonably priced. As usual Sportsman's Warehouse had it for me very shortly after I placed the order.

Nice pocket gun, not a scratch on it, put 100 rounds through it just before the ranges closed, As you can imagine this weapon is a little snappy, trigger pull could heavy for some, otherwise this is a nice choice, I changed out the grip which feels a lot better... Altamont Company...

Good price for an iconic J frame (no lock like my 686-5), perfect for back up CC, with performance center trigger internals and moon clips. The performance trigger is very smooth and easy to stage. It is a little heavy, but the smoothness up to staging paired with the crisp break offsets the weight. Some get trigger spring kits to lighten the weight, but I like the weight for a DAO carry. I expect it to smoothen up a bit more as I use it. I got the combat grips from S&W, yet to install (see

This is the correct model being 178041 for the Pro Series Smith & Wesson revolver in 38 +P. Was the best deal around. The price was raised $80 the day after I picked mine up. I have not shot it yet but the reviews are all great for it and I have no doubt that I will be pleased with it.

I’ve been shooting for along time and l’m very happy with this light weight pocket pistol. I use it as one of my CCW that I carry daily depending on how I’m dressed. I removed the rubber grips and changed them out for wooden ones and added a Tyler T grip on mine, it’s easier for me to reload using a speed loader and to conceal and pull from a pocket with this configuration. The 38 special ammo is twice as expensive as 9mm so if you want to do a lot of shooting get something else and also because

It was pretty easy buying this way and will be doing it again. S&W 442 moon pro series, is very nice typical of what Smith & Wesson is known for this one does not have a lock

I’ve carried this gun IWB for a couple years now. Been very reliable and easy to shoot and easy to carry. Very light-weight.. The ejector rod needs to be lubricated where it meets the frame or the cylinder can be very difficult to open. Just a cautionary warning as it happened to me, though I thought I did a good job of cleaning/ lubricating this revolver.

It works perfect for what it is supposed to be able to do. No problems with mine and action is smooth. It is not a target revolver. But it hits point of aim at 10 yards with 130gr or so. I Really hope I never have to use it, for what it is built for. It does give me peace of mind, "Nothing is really going to stop this tool from working."
