The Canik TP9DA has a unique trigger system that allows for a double action or single action style first-round trigger pull. This is great for shooters who desire the peace of mind of a long trigger pull similar to traditional hammer-fired handguns but want the reliability and simplicity of a striker-fired handgun. By simply depressing the slide-mounted decocking button, the TP9DA is set to double-action mode and is ready to go without any gunsmithing or internal replacement parts. If one wishes to carry in a single action, skip depressing the decocking button and you’re ready to go. The shorter 4.07″ barrel with full-size grip is a great compromise between a compact and full-size handgun.

2 years agoGreat gun easy to shoot, feels good in the hand, my wife loves it as well. Wish it came with more magazines and parts were easier to get. Difficult to fine, but the gun is spectacular!

2 years agoShoots well, though the double action feature isn't as smooth and light as a walther p99. single action and the decock work very well.

1 year agoSuch an easy shooter. Consistent hits on a 2/3 IPSC target at 50 yards no problem. Two inch groups at 10 yards just as easy. This gun makes it easy to shoot like a pro. Double action/single action makes it a great carry or duty gun. Great value. Impeccable reliability.

1 year agoFair price and quality. The TP9 DA is a good choice if you want a full-size pistol with a single/double action trigger. The top-mounted decocking system enables carrying the TP9DA with an extended first trigger pull, like hammer-fired pistols. Another feature is the interchangeable backstraps that can be swapped to fit your hand for more control and comfort. I also liked that it included two magazines, a polymer holster with paddle/belt attachment, a cleaning rod, a brush, and a hard case. It is

1 year agoPerfect duty gun! Excellent trigger out of the box! I love the DA and SA action on this striker fire pistol. Zero issues after 1000 rounds.

1 year agoI like to carry uncocked and still be able to shoot the first shot double action with a harder trigger pull. If you ignore the decocker, it's just like the single action gun. The decocker is hard enough to engage that you won't accidentally activate it. The build quality is amazing, it doesn't seem like a cheap gun even compared to my Walther. The Mec-Gar magazines are great, but require a bit of searching to find. I will probably pick up their micro 9 for summer carry.

1 year agoFor the price is AWESOME, the only CON tho is there's not aftermarket support for this gun but as a budget pistol, can't beat it nor complain.

1 year agoWasn’t sure how it would perform because of the price. I was really surprised at how well it did. I believe I like it better than my Sig P320. Really accurate, easy to realign for next shot, feels great when shooting. I’ll definitely get another one eventually.

1 year agoA great pistol the canik tp9da is one of my first pistols, i'm not going to act like im a professional but I can say without a doubt this pistol is a good one. The trigger was comfortable light and the blade safety works well, the ability to de-cock and go to a double action gives me a great comfort knowing it's a heavy double action trigger. Canik needs alot more love when it comes to the canik tp9 series of pistols they're seriously amazing.

1 year agoI really like the firearm and all the extras it came with. The price and customer service from Palmetto were great as well.

1 year agoGreat pistol made with quality parts. Comfortable full grip and the dual action is responsive, with a very easy to see pin showing whether the gun is on double or single action. Trigger feels a little squishy but its firm when it fires. One flaw however is that it is very snappy; the spring it comes with is strong and needs a good break-in period or you may have casings jam. Well worth the money though and I'd like to see what else this company comes out with.

1 year agoLet me start by saying I have been a fan of theirs for about 4 years now. Purchased the first one when they hit the street based solely on the quasi sw99 decocker and was fortunate enough to spend some time in Turkey and Israel to see them in action. The overall was a solid 4.5 but wasn’t an option. Trigger was a little soft and spongy at first. After over 1200 rounds of everything from junk steel cased, to plus-p it has eaten everything out there and came back for more. The mags set was

1 year agoGood value for the money, but ultra-stiff slide and hard to move the slide safety. Hoping it will loosen with use. Weight feels perfect, palms beautifully to my (medium-sized) hand. Will be good for both home defense and CC.

1 year agoBought this as my first gun a year ago and wow best gun I've bought to date. The DA trigger is better than Glocks trigger and the SA trigger is the best I've ever felt. I only have 1k rounds through it but it's been flawless. Break in was 250rds and it keeps getting better. I use this for concealed carry, open carry, and I'm going to start competitive shooting with this one.
