2 years agoGOOD: soft shooting, good sights (plus a night sight), “easiest” compact 380 I have ever shot, 10 or 12 rounds, good ergonomics, no failures, fits easily in my pocket, accurate(see * below) as well as being small and light. BAD: Really a 10 or 12 round gun. It takes a lot of force to load 10+1. I wouldn’t recommend loading +1. *Also it shoots 4-5” low at 10 yards which is a comment I have seen several reviewers make. Overall it’s in a class by itself.

2 years agoFast shipping to my FFL. The weapon itself has been flawless through 300 rounds. Still snappy. Accurate enough for social work, great sights.

1 year agoI’m very impressed with the function and accuracy of the pistol. As what we always expect from Ruger. I carry my LCPll Max in a neck holster that I purchased on eBay.

1 year agoI love my LCP Max. I was really surprised at how comfortable it feels in my big hand. Plus I bought the 12 round magazine. I'm stepping down from a Glock 30, and I really like my LCP Max.

1 year agoNot a 380 fan but a pocket pistol with 10 +1 or 12+1 is hard to not notice, it has been a fun gun to shoot and has been 100 percent reliable

1 year agoPerfect pocket carry as it weighs next to nothing. No safety but a 7+lb trigger pull. Not fun to shoot with big hands, very snappy recoil. 12rd magazines available. It won't be my weekly range gun but I'll carry it everywhere I go. Five stars!

1 year agoLove this little monster, way more tameed 'snap' because the grip is thicker, and 12+1 pocket carry! Amazing

1 year agoI bought this as an upgrade to my LCP II. Trigger is not improved as advertised and the sights are better but still not great. Otherwise, it's a great bargain and a very good and reliable concealed carry weapon. The 10 round capacity is terrific. Overall a great little gun.

1 year agoFirst the pistol arrived without the hammer spring cap. I contacted Ruger and one was sent out. I'm still not sure about the new sights. I could shoot my LCP ii much better. I am also experiencing a bite in the trigger. I think my finger is to high on the trigger. I think with some more time this will be a good backup gun.

1 year agoGood concealed carry, but definitely isn't a very accurate pistol. I would consider getting your wife or yourself a more flat shooting gun around the same size. Maybe if Ruger put a better barrel and chambered it in maybe 7.62x25 , .32 cal , or just 9mm. It could be sweeeett

1 year agoBeats the other LCP's hands down.Feels good in hand especially with Talon Grips installed.Recoil is manageable but a little more weight would be beneficial. Small "ears" at back of slide a definite ++.Tritium sight a big++ also.Mine seems to want to strike low at 10 or so yards.Have to really concentrate to keep that from happening. Not happy with top edge of trigger but all LCP's are that way.Extra capacity is great and can't be overlooked. As usual PSA great tp deal with. Would buy again .

1 year agoThis is everything I expected! A high capacity weapon of great reliability that I can carry concealed and hardly realize that I even have it. The sights are great and it’s easy to shoot. The only thing I added was Hogue grips to make it perfect.

1 year agoHad to send it back to Ruger twice. Still waiting to pick it up to see if it needs to go back a third! Failure to feed. Failure to eject a full length live cartridge

1 year agoThe gun shoots great, I had like 1 or 2 failures to go into battery. But it was out of 200 rounds. So take this review however you see fit.. I personally think it’s a great back up gun. And the high capacity mags are what keeps it attractive. It doesn’t come with 2 rounds only 1. And it’s a 10 round mag. I do recommend the 12 round mag. It’s a better fit for me to grip the pistol. Now the frame is a bit flimsy. What I mean is that the polymer looks and feels cheap. I haven’t dropped it on the

1 year agoA great little gun. Since I let a friend of mine finally convince me to buy a .380 "pocket pistol", I first bought a S&W M&P Bodyguard like he carries. I like it, it has a safety, but the trigger pull is so long and hard that it would, I think, prevent a small child from firing it, so that as some reviewers note, the pull itself acts as a safety. But it only has 6 round mags (standard, anyway). So, I bought this LCP Max. I carry it in my pocket about as I did the Bodyguard with a

1 year agoThis is the best CCW available at anywhere near this price point. In my opinion, this is the absolute smallest handgun you can buy which still feels and shoots like a real gun and not some sort of strange oddity. I am a big Glock guy and I was convinced the 42 was my CCW answer, but after comparing and shooting both side by side the Max was significantly more compact, lighter and carried a larger capacity.

1 year agoEasily concealed. Lighter felt recoil than you might expect. Excellent sights. Two finger grip without the pinky extension on the ten-round magazine. I have found that I prefer a revolver grip, and I can get a very good grip on it. I have medium to large hands. The trigger is SA only and roughly 5lbs, maybe slightly less... which is easy enough to pull and heavy enough that you have to mean to pull it. The break is crisp, reset is short. With a good grip and light recoil, it is easy to get back

1 year agoWhen I first shot my LCP Max, it jammed multiple times on the the first two magazines. It seemed to me the extractor was preventing rounds from fully entering the chamber. I contacted Ruger who offered to send me a new extractor spring to install myself, or to send me a new slide and barrel assembly. I opted for the slide and barrel assembly. I have since put 300 rounds of ball and hollow point ammo through it without a failure. Now that it shoots, this pistol is a great little gun. The

1 year agoIt's great as a pocket pistol or backup. I wouldn't use this as a primary carry, but I don't think that is what it was intended for. It is a bit snappy being so small and light, but small and light is the entire point of this gun. I was concerned at first becuase it seemed to be cheaply built, but I have over 200 rounds through it with not a single misfeed or other issue, and I've run cheap ammo and Sig Elite Performance V-crown. I am a believer that a .380 has enough stopping power with the
