When SIG Sauer was tasked with competing for the US Army’s contract to replace the outdated M9 Beretta 92, SIG did not disappoint. The MHS handgun is a variant of the SIG SAUER® P320® pistol and is equipped with an external safety, an integrated MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail for the attachment of light and laser systems, self-illuminating night sights to maintain combat effectiveness in all lighting conditions, and is capable of accepting a sound suppressor. The M17 won the contract and will replace the M9 across the military over the next 10 years.
The Standard production commercial M17 variant comes with 4.7″ barrel, coyote tan finish, SIGLite night sights with DP Pro Plate (removable plate for mounting Romeo1), two 17rd magazines and includes thumb safety. The controls (safety, trigger, slide catch lever) are black. Whether you are a military weapons collector or want a firearm that is so durable and reliable the US Army has praised and accepted it as its new official service sidearm, the SIG P320 M17 will get the job done.

2 years agoThis is one sweet shooting pistol! The accuracy is phenomenal. If you get one and you're a pretty decent shot with a pistol, try her out at 100 yards. You'll be impressed. The lockup with a round chambered is tighter than any other semi-auto pistol I've shot, and I'm sure this has something to do with it's amazing accuracy. The trigger pull isn't as nice as a single action hammer fired pistol but doesn't hinder accurate and rapid firing. Its nice and smooth with a crisp break and

2 years agoFinest firearm I have shot fresh out of the box. Easy to upgrade or make change due to the modular system. I enjoy a red dot but if you want rear irons, you will need a pricer dot like a delta point pro or six Romeo 1 pro.

2 years agoLove the M17. I’m old school and grew up with an external safety so this fits my experience. The pistol ships with a “medium” frame so as to be more compatible with the general population. The fact that a replacement frame if needed to fit a larger or smaller hand is only $35.00 on the Sig site is great. Three different sized shooters could use one pistol with two additional frames and be set. Fits my needs to a tee. Love the sights. Palmetto had it at a great price when they couldn’t be found elsewhere. My son made me a kydex holster and now I’m set.

2 years agoThird shot group - 5 rounds each - were all in the bulls eye at 25 feet!! Love the feel - less lift that the P226!

1 year agoPalmetto shipped fast and even though it stated only two 17rd mags were included mine came with all three. Haven’t got out to the range yet but Palmetto did a stand up job on their end.

1 year agoMy first striker fired hand gun ... didn't expect to like it but took a chance ... gotta say, it's much better than expected. Not as good as my 226 or Hi Power, but still serviceable and accurate.

1 year agoGreat deal!!! Shipped to my local sporting goods store in a few days with no issues. Product came as advertised. And I love it!!! Easier than dealing with lines and rude people that don’t know their products!!!

1 year agoThe M17 is a rock, and PSA is great to deal with, top-notch service. My very inexpensive upgrades...WC grip module, Sig flat trigger, Olight BALDR Pro light/laser. Amazing.

1 year agoGun is great but because NJ has a 10 round mag law you did not ship the 3 mags that were advertised with purchase. Other companies replace 17 & 21 round mags with 10 round mags in NJ. My FFL would have pined the mags to make them legal by law before they transferred the order.

1 year agoWhat a great modular system from Sig. Super easy and fun to shoot. Manual safety will prevent use in a Micro Roni PCC kit unfortunately. Also recommend pairing it with the Wilson Combat grip module.

1 year agoMy first semi auto full size handgun. I just picked it up today and tried it out. So far so good. Such a solid feel to it. From the slide to loading a magazine and of course shooting. I was pleasantly surprised that it came with a case and 3 magazines (two 21 & one 17 mags). I thought I was only going to get two 17 mags per the product description. It’s also neat to own part of US military history with this gun.

1 year agoSpent 24 years in the Army and just purchased the M17. It is a significant upgrade over the M9. Fits my hand better, lighter and very accurate out of the box. Disassembly is simple. All this as well as the modularity will well serve the U.S. Army for decades.

1 year agoLove this pistol, and so does my 11 & 17 yr old. We shoot this pistol more that all others combined. Shoots smooth and the size makes it easy to handle. Not a carry pistol but fun to shoot! This is my 1st Sig but not my last…

1 year agoMy first time shooting this gun, I found out why it won the side arm military contract. It shoots fantastic. I am an average shot and I can easily shoot golf ball sized groups at 8 yards. I can shoot 10 inch groups at 18 yards. I am very happy with this purchase.

1 year agoLooks to be an exact replica of the department of defense side arm which was field tested and approved in 2017. I believe the only difference is the spring and the color of the controls.

1 year agoMine did in fact come with 1-17 round and 2-21 round mags, in a hard plastic case. Very nice gun, happy with the purchase.

1 year agoFirst pistol I've ever purchased. Was originally leaning towards a Berretta 9mm (service pistol in CID) but gave this a chance based on two trusted, knowledgable friends. * Fired 500 rounds through it so far, straight out of the box. No jams, no problems outside my own physical limitations. * Lightweight compared to M9, though seems to be front heavy...been over a decade since Ive shot or held a pistol. * Front heavy didn't throw off aim, it just an observation. Mag help balance
