2 years agoThe Springfield Armory XDS mod 2 is a great firearm. Though it is compact, it is smooth with very little muzzle flip. It also has a solid factory set up for the RDS system which was extremely easy to zero and has been productive. It is easy to conceal, and it is great for an EDC firearm. TIP: I had trouble finding a IWB holster to accommodate this newer model with the RDS. I found my holster from Tulster, and I have been extremely pleased with it.

2 years agoThe grip is very comfortable with the 9 shot clip, and the red dot scope was easy to install. Haven't been to the range yet but looking forward to it.

2 years agoLove this pistol - I have small hands and I am able to reach all areas on the pistol w my thumb. I do not have finger/hand strength so it has been a challenge to rack it - BUT when we installed the red dot it gave me more leverage. Love the red dot, so easy to practice with.

2 years agoI sold my XDS Mod 2 9mm Pistol and bought the same gun one with the red dot. It's my 1st red dot and I thought that having a red dot on a a gun I know and like would be a prefect way to introduce my self to a pistol mounted red dot.. The gun runs great and the red dot in very accurate. The red dot is not mounted on the gun when it shows up but it took 15 minutes and was no trouble mounting it to the gun. I am very happy and waiting for the new IWB holster to be delivered. One more thing, the gun was delivered faster then the holster,

2 years agoAbsolutely a amazing pistol. Springfield Armory XDS Mod 2 OSP W/ RED DOT. Comfortable when handling it. Very smooth slide action. When sighted in, that Red Dot is spot on. The pistol grip seemed that it was made for my hand. I personally I could not find any thing I did not like about the XDS.

1 year agoMy wife and I are both new to shooting and are sharing this gun. Little more of a kick than anti payed compared to a Ruger that we tried. Stiffer trigger as well. Overall nice gun and fun to shoot

1 year agoSweet sub compact. I have super small hands even for a girl and I love it. Highly recommend to any other lady.

1 year agoMy wife's new toy and she likes it. It was cheaper to buy this than to get her glock milled and a red dot added. She is happy with the xds and is having an easier time sighting with the red dot.

1 year agoI'm my opinion Springfield xds mod 2 pistols run great right out of the box . I definitely would recommend xds mod 2 9mm and there 45acp 3.3 inch barrel pistols to anyone . I own both 9mm and 45acp mod 2s and I couldn't be happier with them .

1 year agoGreat little gun for carry. Red dot comes almost perfectly sighted in. Only had to tweak it a few notches to get it center. Shockingly accurate to about 25 yards. Recoil is a little snappy but nothing more than a typical carry gun.

1 year agoGreat gun! Shoots accurate and no issues so far. (200 rounds). Quick delivery to my FFL. Just zeroed red dot with bore sight. Eager to get back to range to verify accuracy. Small enough for carry, but still fits well in my hand for solid grip.

1 year agoIt isn't a bad gun. Just not my favorite either. Between my wife and I we have 3 XD's and many others. I find the Shield nicer to shoot. The trigger is a little stiff. Hoping it breaks in a bit.

1 year agoOne of the best 9mm I have owned. The grip fits my large hand with the 9 rnd magazine. Accurate and nice to shoot.

1 year agoGreat pistol and the red dot is a great deal. Some issues with the dot going away, but I think it was a battery placement issue. I put a piece of tape under the battery to make the connection better and no problems since.

1 year agoThe gun looks good and shot well, but I have problem to install the optics (Red Dot). I just can't remove the existing 2 screws that retains OPS Plate. The Torx driver coming with the package won't work. The driver seems not match with screws on the existing plate, but it works with the two installation screws in the package. Can I send it back and have you mount the red dot for me? Or someone can help me in the store near me?

1 year agoAlways been a big Springfield fan. I have the XDS in 9mm and .45, and a XDM 9mm Elite (what a great weapon!). I have mixed emotions with the xds 9mm. I like the gun, sturdy, robust, comfortable grip, excellent function, accuracy is great - except for the trigger. No safety, so it has a 6-7 # trigger pull, similar to a DA pistol. I struggle with accuracy on the first shot - follow up shots are easier because I tend to hold at trigger reset. I've improved it by having a full trigger group

1 year agoGREAT CARRY GUN ONLY COMPLAINT IS THE CHEAP OPTIC COVER THAT FALLS OFF CONSTANTLY! THATS ON CRIMSON NOT SPRINGFIELD!

1 year agoI didn't buy this XDs mod 2 from here but last year I bought both the 9mm & .45cal because when I saw them I fell in love. I've not had any problems except I I've just got the factory iron, no red dot. My 9mm shoots high and left. That's the problem, the rear site has no adjustment. I can't zero my weapon and that kind of upsets me. So after a year of having it as my primary I finally put it in the safe. Now I carry my H&K and although I love all my guns I may just go back to my 1911.

1 year agoThis is a great gun. I concealed carry every day. For a smaller person, I wouldn't recommend this as your main carry, but for an average size person it's perfect. The trigger is perfect and the passive safety is my favorite feature. The grip is also great. I've shot everything from Glocks to Walthers, and this is by far my favorite.

1 year agoNot a bad handgun, trigger is a bit gritty. Also own a Hellcat which is a better handgun in my opinion.
