Built on the massive X-frame and dubbed by the company as the most powerful production revolver in the world the Smith Wesson 500 is a single-double action revolver chambered in 500 SW Mag. Constructed of stainless steel it features a 5-round capacity Hogue grips with finger grooves to reduce felt recoil and adjustable rear sights. For greater stability and accuracy the rifled tube is housed inside a barrel shroud and a centerpin in the back of the cylinder and a ball detent in the frame contribute to lockup. 1 year agoThe S&W 500 Mag arrived in good condition although the barrel was full of lead and it took some scrubbing to get it clean and shiny again. If you want an absurdly large handgun (like me), then this is the right choice.

1 year agoFired 20 rounds thru it within an hour of getting it. My arm is tired, but at 30 feet I had a 3 inch pattern . Will only get better with it!!!!!

1 year agoMan 3 days after shooting 15 rounds of mag tech 400 grain my palm is still sore this thing smacks!! Such a beast will shoot again in a couple weeks just wish ammo wasn’t so expensive these days but what can ya do

1 year agoOf course I would recommend it. It’s a dream gun if you can afford it. I’ll never know what a 50 BMG feels like but I know what 45-70 feels like and will soon know what 500 Mag feels like.

1 year agoWhen I got it took it to work to show off wow what jaw droper. My ammo came in the day before the gun arrived can in Thursday we went to my bosses back yard Saturday by 1 pm I rapid fired all 5 325 grain bullets then every 1 els took turns wow nice . Nothing but good things to say.

1 year agoI would have given it a 5 except for the fact I had to have a gun smith deburr the ejector in 2 places so I could load rounds into the cylinder. I expect better from S&W especially for a $1800.00 weapon.
