Taurus Tracker 2.5" .44 Magnum Revolver, Stainless – 2-440029TKRT

Just so there is no confusion, this is the Talo Edition of the Taurus Tracker with the 2" barrel. Model 440029TKRT. Great gun! Recall isn't bad, shot 180, 230 and 305 grain bullets. Less recall than I expected. Finish is OK (that's why I gave it only 3 stars in Quality). But bough for backpacking in bear country and this gun will do the job!

Great buy. great weapon. i fired 20 44 magnum rounds through it and it did well. fired on target nicely. the recoil was strong but manageable. I personally wouldn't want to fire more than 20 rounds of 44 mag per range visit but you can comfortably use 44 Special ammo in it for longer range visits.

The gun arrived with a deep groove in the front of the barrel shroud. the ejector rod is bent. I sent it back to taurus over a month ago, and im still waiting on them to resolve the issues.

The gun arrived today, and it feels great in my hand. The grips are not the grips depicted in the picture, but they fit my hand perfectly and I'm glad they are the ones it came with. I can't wait to get to the range. I've got 44 Mag target loads and some hot 44 Special loads I want to see how the gun handle them. I would highly recommend the Talo 44 Magnum Tracker. It shoots better than my S&W 69 2 3/4" and has less felt recoil .Trigger pull is 5 1/2 LBS. but is crisp with no creep.Whats not to like at about 60% the price of the Smith and Wesson.I am sold on the value of modern day Taurus handguns A+++ Thanks Guns.com and Taurus for a Great Deal
