Given the growing penchant for shooters to include micro red dots on their semi-autos-be it for personal defense, recreational shooting, or competition work-Taurus brings the G3 series pistols into the optic arena for 2021 with the release of the full-size G3 T.O.R.O. (Taurus Optic Ready Option). The slides for the T.O.R.O. series feature a factory optic cut so that consumers can immediately add their choice of micro red dot without the expense of custom gunsmith work or “downtime” of their handgun. What’s more, the T.O.R.O. system’s design accommodates a broad range of popular optics on the market today, thanks to an ingenious interchangeable plate mounting system. The new Taurus G3c builds on the proven foundation that has made the compact G-series among the most popular personal defense/EDC handguns ever while advancing function, reliability, and durability to the next level. Furthermore, the G3c enters the market at a price point that continues the Taurus G-series handguns’ industry leading cost-to-performance ratio. All the features of the original striker-fired full-size. Now available in an EDC-friendly compact frame. The all-new Taurus G3c delivers the ultimate balance of power and performance for any self-defense situation.

Features:

  • Accessory rail
  • Re-strike capability
  • Taurus optic ready option TORO

First Taurus pistol, impressed! Wanted to try an optics ready pistol and the price was right here. Installed a holosun hs507k-x2. Had to modify plate #4(included with G3) and buy a couple 6*32 screws. Installed optic right out of box and shot a box of ammo. Functioned 100%, impressive trigger! I felt it was every bit as good as the trigger in my new shield plus. Very easy to shoot, grouped my brass well. It does include 3 magazines.

this thing is great it feels good in my hand and has fairly light recoil. I bought it because of price and tuarus name. I put a ooptic on it CriMson trace cts-1550 ($140) and it shoots fantastic 3.0moa. I am looking for ahe plain G3c as well that would give me six mags and two pistols. I can not find them in stock i guess the word is out on how fantastic they are to shoot.

My second Taurus, My first EDC choice and I own a few other guns. I installed already a Bushnell red dot, lakeline ss recoil assy guide rod and ss striker guide. It just feels great in the hand and shoots good. I Can't wait to get the new GX4 Microcompact!!!

Gun itself, has been great so a 5 star for the gun..rated it a 4 only because of the toro..have not explored that yet and not much information with instructions what is available and how pursue. Been helpful to have more info on toro part of gun. I am fairly new to handguns.

The g3c is extremely accurate for its size. I've shot 500 rounds of fmj with no problems. However, it won't feed Speer gold dot but will feed Hornady critical defense with no problems. I'm left-handed and I switched the mag release button accordingly. Aside from not feeding gold dot, overall I'm satisfied and do recommend.

THIS TOOK OVER FOR MY HEAVY, OLD, BUT VERY RELIABLE, RUGER P89. THIS LITTLE GUY IS LIGHT AND EXTREMELY EASY TO SHOOT, ACCURATELY! A LIGHT BUT CRISP TRIGGER COMES STRAIGHT FROM THE FACTORY. THE FACT THAT IT IS OPTIC-READY IS THE MAIN REASON I BOUGHT THE T.O.R.O. MODEL. TAURUS HAS ALWAYS PROVEN TO BE A HIGH STANDARD FOR ME. HAVING OWNED A FEW, FROM A 4" 38 SPECIAL REVOLVER TO BIG THE SEMI-AUTOS, I HAVE NEVER HAD AN ISSUE WITH ANY TAURUS FIREARM - ALWAYS DEPENDABLE AND RELIABLE. AFTER MY WIFE SHOT … Read More

I give it 4 1/2 stars. The gun Shoots very well, good trigger. The grip texture is too agressive for conceal carry up against your body.

I have purchased two of these. One G3c TOro and g3C. Great in your hands great on the range. Just need to provide one with a threaded barrel. Often on sale but out of stock.

So far, excellent! It was a little stiff out of the box, but working smoothly after a short range session and a field cleaning. The OE sights are an improvement over the G2c sights. It is much easier to “pick up” the front sight. I had some old steel case ammo to chew up and it ate it just fine. The G3c re-strike capability took care of two bad primer issues. The G3c fits my G2c IWB kydex and OWB leather holster just fine. If I decide to add an optic later, then I will need to

The G3C is a great size for concealed carry, and after hundreds of rounds I would say I shoot it better than my Glock 19. Plus, it's budget-friendly, and there's a lot of holster and aftermarket options with the G3C upgrade to Glock-style sights from the G2C (also a sweet gun for the money).

After doing some research I felt confident about purchasing this firearm. I was excited to get to the range and see how it felt. But before I’d even got to fire it, I made it my business to load it and wrack 1 live round into the chamber. However I found after releasing the magazine the chambered round was a bit difficult to eject from the chamber...Read More Read more about review stating Don’t panic

Easy to shoot, accurate. Good texture on the grip. It was easy to find the right plate for my red dot and it went on easily. Really like it came with 3 magazines although I wish at least 1 was 15 rounds. Trigger has a crisp break and short reset (to me). Got about 200 rounds thought it so far and it’s doing great!
