The gun is light and the grip feels good in your hand. My large complaint is the cylinder release button is extremely hard to use. Almost didn’t want to move when I first tried it. Took two fingers. It seems to be sticking on something internal. I almost think it’s defective. Not smooth at all and very difficult for a woman to use. My S&W ultralight is a breeze to use in comparison.

The 856 is an excellent alternative to Colt, S&W, Ruger, and Kimber revolvers. It is a great 'value' and it goes bang when you pull the trigger. I have gone back to carrying revolvers. I carry 2. A primary and a backup (New York reload). Both are 856s. I feel that the reliability is there without the cost. These gun are not heirloom quality but are reliable and in that, I am less worried about throwing one to the deck if I need to use my backup gun. I have several S&Ws and Rugers but they are too nice to jettison, when empty, during armed encounter.

A most excellent trigger, very durable, highly concealable. Taurus makes a great revolver here. Six rounds, not five. Iron sights are dead on, and accurate (for me) easily out to 15 yards. Have not fired this weapon yet but I am sure it will be great! Taurus has made a good quality firearm with this one.

Just picked it up today. Can't wait To get to the range . It feels great the fit and finish is perfect this is my fourth Taurus I am very pleased With the others and this will be great.
