The 7-shot Taurus 692 Multi-Caliber revolver is designed for reliable everyday carry with its 3 inches barrel, and also offers a range-friendly option in the 6-1/2 inches model. Both size variations offer the ability to change the caliber from 38 Special +P/357 Magnum, to 9mm Luger with a simple swap of the cylinder. This DA/SA revolver features a seven round capacity, making it an ideal companion for personal and home defense as well as simply shooting more rounds at the range. The 692 revolver has adjustable rear sights, spurred hammer and Taurus’ Ribber Grip that aids in accuracy. The ported barrel manages recoil for quicker target re-acquisition. Stellar clips are provided with each revolver.

1 year agoVery nice revolver and the cylinder swap is really easy. Only one drawback, double action trigger pull is really hard.

1 year agoI have taken this gun to the range 3 times since purchase and find it to be excellent. I had a Ruger Blackhawk 357/9mm conversion which I sold two years ago. Even though I returned the Blackhawk to Ruger for repair, the gun was never that accurate with either cylinder and the POI changed by 6-8 inches at 30 ft. The Taurus is DA and the accuracy/consistent POI is excellent with 38/357/9mm. I can see no change with any caliber.

1 year agoVery good guns out the box very precias, onli give four star only because the grip to small for my hand. This just my opinion, overall it very versatile guns

1 year agoIt is very nice to be able to shoot 38 spl ammo through this revolver and than fire a few rounds of 357 mag and than to top it off, replace the cylinder and shoot a bunch of 9mm. The best of all shooting worlds.

1 year agowonderfully weapon! I am going to hunt pigs in close quarters. I bought one thousand 9mm for sight-in. It hits what you aim at. Also looks cool in a shoulder houster.

1 year agoWas my first large caliber handgun and from what little I know of them it was probably a pretty good choice for the cost

1 year agoThis is a good value! Trigger is very good esp compared to my taurus 22/22mag revolver. Shoots nice Tight groups esp with 357 and 9mm. 38 grouped a little looser but might be the ammo i waS using but still good. Smooth operating cylinder and no timing issues with it at all. Very happy with this purchase.

1 year agoI debated between this and the ruger sp101 9mm. I'm very happy with the taurus. I've put all three calibers through the gun at this point and really like the weight and versatility. Virtually no recoil with .38 or 9mm. Shot true right out of the box, with no adjustment needed. Just a bit of adjustment on my part to the single action pull. Double action is a bit heavy, but I assume to be expected. I didn't have any concerns with accuracy of 9mm in this so far...

1 year agoSighted it in and just love it. Feels and shoots great. Longer barrel will help bring down whitetails in Wisconsin wetlands where to thick for RIFLE.

1 year agoVery impressed with the pistol right out of the box. Very well balanced and accurate. Shot 357 ammo out of it and hardly any recoil.

1 year agoI don’t care What everyone says... if you but a revolver you have to buy a S&w. Fine, s&w are great firearms, but i cOuldn’t be happier with my 692ss! Does exActly what its supposed to do. And i’ll take the $300+ i saved and buy 1000 rounds of 357 and then some.

1 year agoVery pleased with this purchase. Almost bought a colt python before this Taurus and am so glad I didn't. Fantastic results at the range. Everyone wanted to see what I was shooting. Recommend this revolver whole heartily

1 year agoWonderful revolver. I love taurus revolvers. very accurate, Recoil IS modest. those ports really do reduce muzzle flip. swapping cylinders is ultra easy. there are few sounds sweeter than the deep, thunderous boom OF a 357 being fired. I did replace the factory grip with a Hogue monogrip. there's really nothing with the factory grip. I just really like the way Hogue grips fit my hand.
