2 years agoTaurus makes great revolvers at half the cost of a Smith. I am very pleased with my purchase got a great price from GAG. The model 66 feels great in the hand, has an awesome grip nice sights and a good trigger. Double action is a bit heavy but very smooth. Single action is fantastic around 4.5-5 lbs and very clean break. I would recommend this gun to anyone looking for a good 357. Plus you get the bonus of being able to shoot 38 special as well.

2 years agoNice revolver. It has a matte finish like a nitride instead of blued like the description says. Shoots well and is accurate. Handled all full house magnum loads I have put through it with ease.

1 year agoI always wanted this revolver, it is the one My dad carried when I was little. It is very easy to shoot, no recoil at all, accurate and just fun

1 year agoLove this revolver.........seven-shot capacity and easy to handle. firing .38 special, it is smooth as silk........firing .357 magnum is clearly a bit more violent but still manageable. Worked perfectly right out of the box.

1 year agogreat all around 7 shot revolver for $377 at grabagun.com. four inch barrel is just right, easy to aim. Each of the four family members, male and female like the balance and grip. love the matte black finish, no fingerprints, always looks good. have already shot 1000 rounds, and not one problem. love the peace of mind you get from the taurus lifetime warranty. Would buy again, and highly reccomend.

1 year agoI have already put over 100 38 rounds through this gun in a single day at the range. really surprised at the quality and performance. the only thing I had to do was move the sights up two clicks to get it on center. the more I shot the smoother the gun became. not DISAPPOINTED in any way.

1 year agoTARAUS ALWAYS SEEMS TO GET A BAD RAP, BUT THE MODEL 66 that I purchased doesn't deserve anything but praise. I have a smith and wesson model 686 Plus and I can't decide which gun is better. When I consider that I could buy two of these for the same price as the s&W. The trigger on the taraus might be better than the smith and wesson. I have nothing to fault this gun for and i have a lot of guns to compare it to.

1 year agoThis pistol just works!!! Its a solid platform and the trigger is very CONSISTENT. I Added some white car paint to the front site to make it stand out I shoot hot +P 38’s and hornady 125gr crItical defense with it and it is absolutely smooth as silk. A great buy!

1 year agoI knew what I wanted when I bought this. This weapon is what I consider to be a nightstand defense piece. Unless you have 100 yard hallways, there is no reason anyone should miss an intruder with this; heaven forbid. Expect to paint the sights.

1 year agothe trigger is the best I have shot in this level of power. the front site had to be improved with a brite fingernail polish. it was very hard to see before a touch up.

1 year agoGreat pistol, very happy with the quality and accuracy I have a couple other Taurus pistols and they are good too. I also have several Smith and Wesson pistols too for the price Taurus is a value, not just paying for the name. Guns.com shipped very fast and was pleased by the short arrival time to my FFL.

1 year agoAfter 20 years, I traded my s & w 686. It was the wrong decision, and I knew it early on. The 686 was my choice this time, but too much money for me this time. The Taurus seems to fit the need that came back to me for the 686. The 66 is just like the 686, except for the fact that it holds 7 rounds instead of 6. A plus.

1 year agoI ordered a new gun. When I received the gun it was not in a plastic bag. The gun barrel and cylinder had orange on them from rubbing in the box. The sight protector was not on the gun. There was marks on the cylinder like it had been spun around a lot. The safety key to disable the forearm was not in the box. There was no instructions or safety i...Read More Read more about review stating Packaging Issues

1 year agoNot a Ruger GP100 or S&W 686 but great for the money (hundreds cheaper) and it comes with a lifetime warranty. I have other Taurus handguns and each has been great so far - so far so good with this 6 inch, 7 shot model. Accurate out of the box.

1 year agoI find the grip a little too big for me however the heft is just what I needed, so all in all I would rate it a good fit.

1 year agoThe trigger pull is smooth and easy to use, the double action is also very easy to use . The safety lock is a very nice feature to have on this type of gun. The weight of the gun is equally distributed so it feels very balanced to hold. This is my first revolver and I’m very pleased because of the low cost and the look and feel of it. I would defi...Read More Read more about review stating Very pleased

1 year agoThis sidearm is fits my hand very well. It also has a good balance and the single action pull is so light and the double action is a breeze to pull also. Although I purchased this Taurus model 66 more than 3 weeks ago the ffl I had this transferred to dropped the ball as far as getting my paperwork sent in. I now wait for Friday to arrive and look...Read More Read more about review stating This sidearm is fits my
