1 year agoThe bolt action is extremely smooth vs. other brands on the market. Above and beyond the gun was the level of service i received from Tony C. at the Grandville, MI location! I brought the gun back in the next day after noticing an issue with the scope mount. Tony met me at the front door and took me back to the gun department where he met with leadership and handled the whole situation with an apology, a new scope and upgraded rings! His customer service was amazing and beyond belief in today's world! Thank you Tony and Cabela's!

1 year agoThe rifle would not cycle factory rounds through the magazine so the rifle has not been fired.I tried another new magazine same issue. I called RUGER and authorized number was given to send the rifle back to them with a 15 day turnaround time.

1 year agoI own both 6.5 and 300 PRC rifles. The PRC line of magnum cartridges are well engineered for optimal efficiency employing max ballistic coefficient bullets ( fast twist rifling required) for super accuracy w/ minimal barrel wear. The 7MM PRC intrigued me. I purchased the Ruger “Go Wild” 7 MM PRC because of the Ruger name, The firearm configuration, the 7MM PRC cartridge option, and price. My first impression of the rifle was during cleaning, scope mounting, and inspecting the 7MM PRC. I noted excellent quality and workmanship for a supposed Budget class firearm. The Ruger build was solid and was anatomically correct for my build (6’ 1”). The only negative I could find was while cleaning the rifle. The barrel was very dirty compared to other new rifles I have purchased. It wasn’t powder dirty. I believe it was post machining dirty. The minor inconvenience was resolved with a good cleaning. I ensured the rifle chambered factory rounds as advertised. Testing the Ruger “Go Wild” 7 MM PRC at the range. I had read a few concerning articles stating, the “Go Wild in 7mm PRC” had just O.K. accuracy or less than advertised accuracy at 100 Yards (using Hornady Factory ammo). This is absolutely NOT TRUE in my personal experience!!! Please note the attached target picture. I took the first shot (with the new Ruger) to zero my scope. After adjusting the scope, the second, third (¼” center to center), and fourth shots (3/4” center to center w/ the other two shots) were in the bullseye. Unfortunately, I believe I slightly pulled the fourth shot (not the rifle’s fault). This is phenomenal accuracy from a brand new rifle w/ only 4 shots down the tube, no barrel break-in, and using Hornady factory 175 grain ELDX ammunition. What a pleasant surprise!!! I continued to break-in the Ruger 7MM PRC. The rifle continued to preform flawlessly and w/ tack driving accuracy. I placed all following shots in the bullseye and kill zone on Elk targets w/ ease. My buddy tried my Ruger. His first shot was a dead-center bullseye. He said, “ I like shooting your rifle better than my 300 win mag.” The rifle is what I consider a light weight “Mountain Rifle.” Speaking of light weight, the built-in muzzle break ensures minimal recoil for the magnum cartridge (feels less than a 243). The Desert Camo and barrel coating is great for the forest, brush, or Desert. The Ruger “Go Wild” 7 MM PRC combines features, quality, and accuracy found in higher-end rifles at an extremely reasonable price. Excellent Job Ruger!!!!

1 year agoThis review is only after 40 rounds at the range. The Winchester 145 grain FMJ 350 Legend ammo recommends sighting in at 150 Yards. My sight in process started at 25 yards, then out to 100 yards, and then to 150 yards. Each session the gun has been cleaned. I have not been able to get a five shot group under 4" at 150 yds. and to me that is unacceptable. Please note I can't confirm if its the Winchester ammo or the rifle for the bad grouping. I bought this rifle to shoot Whitetail in the

1 year agoGreat rifle for the price. Incredible accuracy and great aesthetics. Shoots 1 MOA groups very easily in the right hands. I especially love the long 22" barrel this has vs the shorter barrels common to other 350 legend caliber rifles.

1 year agoLooks and shoots fantastic. Paired with the Leupold VX Freedom 350 legend scope. Ended up with a sub MOA grouping shooting the browning 155gr loads. Would have given it 5 stars but my the bolt does feel a little sloppy. Doesn't seem to cause cycling issues so far.

1 year agoHarvested 3 deer during firearms season in 2020. Including largest doe I have ever seen. Adjusted trigger to a lighter setting. Used Leopold 3-9x40 with firedot and dropped nice buck in his tacks at last minute of daylight. Camo blends perfect with our environment.

1 year agoIt has already become one of my all time favorite guns. I paired this rifle with a Leupold scope calibrated to the ballistics of the gun and all I can say is “WOW”. Extremely accurate and very little recoil.

1 year agoBought the gun to match a 450 bushmaster i have with the same setup. Topped with a leupold cds scope. Cartridges are next to impossible to find, so i went with what was available, hornady white tail 170 grain. After a few shots to dial it in, it basically put 4 holes in the bullseye. Shot both the 350 and 450 at similar sized pumpkins at 100 yards. The 350 exploded the pumpkin, the 450 put about a 2” hole in and 8” hole going out. Have only shot 2 does with the gun this year, both head shots.

1 year agoGreat gun! Camo finish is great and cerakote bronze color on barrel is a great color. My friends love looking at it!!!! With my poor vision at 100 yards I can still keep my shots all in center ring. I’m happy happy!!!!

1 year agoVery nice gun. Only shot it once but put 3rd shot at 50 yds dead center. Also shot 3 shots each at 75 and 100yds and all were within a one inch circle

1 year agoI’m very happy with this rifle. Marched it up with a Vortex scope, and I’ve got a reliable, dead-accurate deer gun for where I hunt.

1 year agoSo far the gun seems great. After being sited in it holds a fairly tight group at 100 yards using 180gr rounds. The scope I put on it is a bit on the low end, but it's all I had this year and the camo pattern was a nice match to the stock. Accuracy will not be an issue, definitely plenty accurate for whitetail under 200 yards. Bolt has a nice smooth action, does not stick and gives plenty of clearance to the scope. I left the trigger exactly how it came, but it is adjustable if you're into that.

1 year agoThis rifle is very fun to shoot, mine loves the 170 grain hornady and the 180 grain Federal. Very very tight group at 100 yards, looking to buy another Ruger for sure. Recoil is very little, my B14 .243 win has more recoil. Great rifle!!!
