CANIK SFX RIVAL-S

The Rival-S has the best out-of-the-box trigger that I have ever seen, with an EXTREMELY short reset. It is definitely heavy and shoots well. The iron sights were on target out of the box. the case that comes with the gun is great and was well thought-out.

Totally awesome shooter, great trigger, eats anything I feed it. Highly recommend. BUT, the grip screws are ridiculously undersized. I swapped the small for the large back strap and stripped one of the screws. I retapped the holes and used larger diameter screws. Sucked having to do that before I even shot it.

I have around 6 or 7 Canik's plus many other types of pistols. I find this gun one of my top guns for accuracy and ease of shooting. Great weight, stays on target. Canik's are known for great triggers and this one is nice at 4lbs. I have a polymer Rival and it is at 3.5 lbs. Nice thing about Canik's is their price compared to comparable guns plus you do not need to modify their trigger. Usually everything is good about these guns out of the box. I would rate this gun up with my CZ Shadow 2 single action, it is that good and hundreds less in cost.

This firearm is a great shooter. Canik delivers a fantastic handgun with one of the best triggers on the market.

Great handgun. Well-balanced and nice trigger. Blew out the "10" ring at 15 yards with my first 50 rounds.

Today, I finally had a chance to take this pistol to the range. I put about 100-150 rounds down range. The ammo was Sig Sauer 115gr FMJ, Sig Sauer Elite defense JHP 124 gr and Federal American Eagle 124 gr FMJ. No problems with any of the ammo. And yes, I know that's not a lot but the purpose was to see how the firearm shot before installing an optical on it. The trigger and reset are outstanding and the weight of the Rival S is not an issue for me. That's my short take on Canik Rival S. It is a keeper!!! As for the optic, who knows!!!!!

I already had the polymer version and loved it! Had to pick this one up. I highly recommend the Canik SFX Rival -S (or for less the polymer is still amazing). I have only shot about 500 rounds through this handgun. So far this is the easiest gun I have shot at 25 & 50 yds.
