This was my 1st Ruger. I was skeptical at first but the specs speak for themselves. I have run thousands of rounds through this gun and never a misfeed of failure of any type. I have even run cheap magazines with cheap ammo that failed to cycle in my other riffles (not calling them out by brand) with no problems. Poorly matched receivers is a pet ...Read More Read more about review stating Ruger Quality

My husband and I purchased this Rifle a little over a year ago. I wasn’t so sure that I would be proficient when it came to shooting it. We obviously took it to the range the day we brought it home. With just a set of Iron Sights he had in the gun safe on it, I was able to shoot it more accurately than any firearm I have ever had in my hands! It i...Read More Read more about review stating My Favorite Rifle

Just picked it up yesterday. For the money you can't beat it-even the gun store owner said man you got a nice high quality gun there. I would recommend this Ruger if you are looking for a budget friendly AR-15. Guns.com customer service was super friendly and helpful helped me every step of the way. I will be back to buy more down ...Read More Read more about review stating A-1 Quality

The purchase price was competitive and very fair. Shipping was prompt and the gun arrived at my local dealer complete and intact. I have not fired a rifle since 1975, so I was looking forward to the manual. However, the manual was written by someone who knew all about the gun, for another expert - which did not help me. But between YouTu...Read More Read more about review stating An excellent weapon

This is overall a nice rifle. I did have an issue with the pin as well when putting the rifle back together and became frustrated after some time. I was able to get the pin after several attempts, however. I plan to keep the rifle as is, however, I will likely contact my local gun shop or Ruger with regard to the pin issue.

Waited a LONG time to buy this rifle. My Army Captain son convinced me to go with the model 8529 because of its floating barrel and customizing options. The rifle and I are still getting acquainted. So far so good. Live on 10 rural acres with LONG shot potential re varmints snd CQB possibilities out in the countryside. The Ruger AR 556 should do d...Read More Read more about review stating Waited a LONG time to

Out of the box, guns flawlessly. Wish it cam with ambidextrous safety but no big deal. Put 500 rds through it with no hiccups. Great gun for the price.

As a first time gun owner I was on a budget but still wanted something that wouldn't let me down. The gun is easy to handle and clean. While the charge handle can be at times hard to put back in due to the machining, I feel this is something that will get easier to do over time as it is very new and not completely broken in (60 rounds). The bolt catch I am also upgrading as the issued one is very stiff. As a lefty I had no problems with brass ejection and the adjustable stock made for

First time buying from Palmetto. They made it fast and easy to purchase. Clear instructions and kept me informed of status. Luv my Ruger AR! Put on a red dot with a 1.5 to 5x magnifier and went straight to the range. Shot flawlessly! Shot both .223 and 5.56 with no problems. Two things I changed was the Butt Stock and Grip for better comfort. Magpul is what I purchased for both. I’m a big Ruger fan and highly recommended.

My wife won a Ruger AR556 in a raffle. She loves it, it shoots everything she puts in it. I put a red dot on it for optics. You can't go wrong with a Ruger,

Absolutely love this weapon! Did the research and the Ruger AR-556 met all my expectations. I added the Sig Sauer Romeo5 Red dot site and got a few extra magpul mags. A bipod, a sling, and carry case will come next. Thanks PSA... Great Service!

Very accurate and a blast to shoot. Beware this gun does not come with any sights, you will need to purchase iron sights, red dot or a scope. Also does not come with a strap or the front hardware to attach a strap to. Other than that, this is a great rifle.

My first AR15. After much research I got this one. I already own a Ruger handgun so I was pretty sure the AR556 was going to be quality at a reasonable price. I've put 200 rounds through it with zero issues. Running 556 and 223 in both brass and steel. Picked up a Sig Sauer Romeo 5 red dot and added a Magpul AFG mlock foregrip..You will probably want to add a nice thick recoil pad too. I'm very happy with this set-up and the price and service from PSA were great. If you have been considering the AR556 I say get you one.

Great AR I have added some bells and whistles but really this thing is great right out of the box(Just need some sights). I've been meaning to leave a review but I like to put a few hundred rounds through a gun before giving any opinion. If you're looking for a solid AR pick one of these up at a decent price and have some fun!!

This is AR is one of 4 brands I recommend under $1000. Is it perfect? I've ran a lot of ammo through this gun with no issues. Ruger is a great company that stands behind their products.
